<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Many thought that the Hornets would take either Nick or Thaddeus Young at #13, but GM Jeff Bower made a great decision by taking Kansas F Julian Wright with the team?s first round selection. Wright is highly regarded as a player that can do it all at his position, and head coach Byron Scott will look forward to developing Wright into an exceptional NBA starter.</div>Check out the full article at HornetsNews.com!

even though I thought Thaddeus Young would be there best pick but sucks they couldnt get him but Julian Wright is still a great player that would fit in with the Hornets imo.

I am a bit concerned, that the Hornets still do not have anyone with a shooters touch at the two spot. Rasual Butler was inconsistent, and when Peja gets hurt again this year they will be stuck how they was last year, with athletic perimeter players out there that can't shoot and hurt Pauls production as a setup man. Nick Young could have stepped in right away and helped out with this. That being said, you can't go wrong with picking the best prospect on the board in Julian Wright. He will provide a nice young person to get out and into transition with Chris Paul.

Other than that, Wright is a solid player who can do a lot of things for us both offensively and defensively because he's an up-tempo type of player. :dribble:

I'm not very pleased since they passed up on the best pure shooting guard in the draft, and I'm not happy that they couldn't swing it and get Byars with 43. I don't even think they were shooting for Nick Young, but for Thaddeus. Not a good night, but Wright has great potential. Let's see how this works out.

Julian Wright's going to benefit from playing with Chris Paul. I think he's a very good scorer around the basket, but he really has to work his butt of with those outside shots. He's got all the potential and athleticism in the world, so it'll be interesting to see how this works out..

Thanks for uploading the pics.I liked the Interview Julian Wright had with Stuart Scott on draft day, that was cool. He should be a good player in years to come.

Agreed, the Julian Wright pick didn't make a whole lot of sense to me either. He's a hell of a talent, but he's certainly not what New Orleans needs. Where does he fit, even 2 years from now, with Peja/West at the 3-4? He can't play the 2, nor can Peja defend at the 2 (or the 3, for that matter). I think Nick Young or Al Thornton would have been ideal.
