I think durant will have a slump at the beginning of the season like andrea did this past season( dont get me wrong, im not comparing the two because I know there is a major difference)
I don't think Oden will have a great rookie season. If I had to predict his stats, I would say 14 points, 8 rebounds next season, which is pretty good for a rookie, don't get me wrong. 12 rebounds is a little out there I think, seeing he only averaged 9 last season in college. After he gets a few seasons under his belt though, he will be a beast. I think it's going to be Durant like I said earlier. He's most likely going to be the #1 option on the Sonics. He's a pure scorer and I see him getting around 18 points and 6 rebounds next season.Just my predictions though.
This is without question Kevin Durant. He's going to be the second option (probably) in a high powered, fast-paced offese, so his numbers will be high. He's more of an offensive player, or numbers guy anyways. Plus, I personally think he's more prone to dominate early. Dare I say that Kevin Durant is the.. better player?

But, with that said, I still would have taken Oden at #1 with the trend in the NBA that big men who dominante on defense win NBA titles.

The thing is, Durant will probably have a better rookie year but if it's even close they'll give the benefit of the doubt to Oden like they did with Lebron.

KDizzle, fo' shizzle. He'll adjust to the NBA very quickly, and that one year of college at Texas has only boosted his confidence in scoring the ball.

I doubt it will happen to, him being a big man will be less exciting than Durant out on the perimeter because people today like the perimeter players like that. So I am going to say Durant wins it just like everyone else has said.
Just like everyone, I'm going with Kevin....he's going to have to carry the scoring load from the beginning.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (parnopan @ Jun 30 2007, 05:12 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yi Jianlian is better</div>No he's not. Yi Jianlian when he enters the NBA is going to get pounded by the bigger post defenders. He will not be able to rely on his jumpshot as much in the NBA and will have to play in the post a bit more often which will create problems for Yi in his rookie year. However, his handlers are handling him very well but he was drafted in part because he can handle himself.
