Skiing is a more appealing pass time than mud puddle wading. And, yes, there’s skiing at Mt. Hood, but the snow conditions don’t match the Utah resorts.

I knew we were screwed when we couldn't get fans to turn out for that Bones Jones/Kingspeed game.

Portland is one of the best small citiies in America to visit, when it's not raining. The reason the total tourist Volume is not high is because of the weather, but people flock here from all over during the spring and summer months. The walking tour business in Ptown is booming lol.

There was actually a pretty good turnout for their first matchup, lol.

What I've heard, it's not total number of rooms. It's a hotel that can hold ALL the league reps and media demands. A really huge one. The Grand America in downtown SLC was built FOR the winter olympics and to be the media and olympic committee headquarters. We just don't have something like that. It probably didn't help that we got into that legal situation with Stern and the league over the Sports Action lottery back in the 90s.

I don't know what I feel has less of a chance of happening.

Portland getting a MLB team, or Portland hosting an ASG.

Sorry dude we just didn’t have the hotels here to accommodate that kind of event.

I don’t remember the last time I watched an ASG, it’s beyond boring and is not entertaining at all. Why do any of you guys care if we ever host one? Even if we did host one I would likely not attend because the ASG and the events around it are just that boring.

I'd like the team to host an ASG because it's kind of a nice way to recognizing the fact that a franchise has been in Portland since 1970 (etc). But the older I'm getting the less I'm caring about it, due to the glorified popularity contest it's become (and let's be honest, it always has been).

The NBA is no longer really designed/marketed and promoted for fans like me. So I don't really care much about the weekend. The only reason I watched any of it the last few years was because of Damian. If he's not in it, I won't watch it. If I wanted to watch ESPN schlob on the knobs of KD, LeBron, Anthony Davis, Steph Curry, Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons, Jimmy Butler, Paul George, K Leonard, Westbrook and Harden, I'd just watch any regular season telecast. I don't need that stuff x 1000 .
