Well now the only question is where will Gerald Wallace end up?

Ahhh...I was just gonna post this. Like MJ, said he wanted a veteran and that's what they got. They needed a Starting SG to replace Matt Carroll. They already have Emeka and Sean May so I don't think they needed Brandan Wright. Wright could be a good fit in GSW because they needed help in the post. This trade helps both teams.

Wow....great trade for Golden State...They already have enough guards...but Brandan Wright is a very nice offensve talent...he's an athletic monster, with nice skill, and a decent jump shot...I think he's going to be a great player, and the Warriors need a true big man besides Andris Biedrins

We will miss you J-Rich. You played your heart out for us, you were our heart and soul for years, through the bad times, and the good times. We will always miss you!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (SBoyd415 @ Jun 28 2007, 10:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>This trade is absolutely tearing me. Jason Richardson was the face of this franchise long before the days of Baron Davis. At the same time, UNC is my favorite team and I know what a monster Brandan Wright was for them...Hopefully he doesn't become a Marvin Williams</div> That was my initial reaction as well... When I thought of the Warriors, I thought of Jason Richardson. After all those losing years in GS, he makes the playoffs last year and had that incredible upset over Dallas, and now he's gone. Sucks...

This is funny. Earlier this afternoon I read an article saying Jason Richardson or Ellis won't be dealt for picks. Oh well. Good for the Bobcats, but I don't like this for the Warriors.

<span style="font-family:Tahoma">I'm gonna miss seeing Jason Richardson with the Warriors. But this is a very good trade for the Warriors. I really can't say the same about the Bobcats, but a very nice deal for Golden State.</span>

^ dont be so sure.... this trade works out for both teams. Ill admit, at first I was like, what are the Bobcats doing, tading a talent like Wright for a contract the size of Richardson's, but the more I thought about it the more it made sense. For GS, it gives them relief of Richardson's contract, it helps relieve the whole Guard situation in GS and it gives them a very talented player with good potential. For Charlotte, they get a proven veteran who proved he can hit big shots in big games in this past postseason, hes an explosive player who has a nice touch from outside and should help this team from the get-go. Besides, Charlotte is one of the lowest payroll teams in the NBA, its not like they're getting hurt with the luxury tax with this trade....

I don't think it will effect your offense that much. It's good for both teams actually because Charlotte really needed a #1 scoring option.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (iversonfan268 @ Jun 29 2007, 12:48 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Brandan Wright's game is incredibly raw and his jump shot is horrible...</div>His jumpshot isn't horrible....and he's only a freshman...I think he's going to be able to shoot the mid range well....for a big man atleast...Guys, you have so many scorers. I like the trade for Golden State. Getting a young forward really helps what they need. Patrick O'Bryant isn't anything to special and Al Harrington could possibly move back to the 3 spot. I wanna see how Monta does this season.

Good trade for the Warriors. Did anyone see the series against the Jazz in the playoffs? They could not rebound over Boozer, Milsap and Kirilenko. So, along with Wright's scoring potential (as long as he molds his raw talent into an all around game) his defense and rebounding is a huge plus for the Warriors. Look for them to go to the playoffs again.Nishan Wilde is VP of Sales for Robbins Sports and Athletics, an online resource for athletic apparel and equipment, featuring Gym Bags, Portable Scoreboards, Track Uniforms and Basketball Uniforms

Sure, the potential is there, but it will take a little longer to develop IMO. With that said, I think the Warriors kissed their playoffs for this season trading J-Rich for Wright.
