Players they've gotten in the draft the last 2 seasons. Sergio Rodriguez Brandan Roy Joel Freeland Derrick Byars Josh McRoberts Greg Oden LaMarcus Aldridge Good fricking lord. :shok:
I just checked, they had 7 draft picks this draft. I never realized Portland even made this many trades.
YOU MEAN YOU LOVE PAUL ALLEN...... GUY IS SO RICH AND HE JUST TAKES OUT MONEY OUT OF HIS POCKET AND BUYS DRAFT PICKS
Blazers fans should feel so lucky right now. Wow...C- OdenPF- AldridgeSF- Frye (possibly)SG- Roy/FrancisPG- Jack/RoyThis team is looking very good for the future, and can compete now. Man. This franchise certainly knows how to handle their drafts.

It's either going to be Webster, Outlaw, or Miles.Portland has a very deep team right now, they handled their draft picks extremely well. I'm glad to see them get rid of Zach Randolph. He was a cancer to the team, and slowed down the pace of the game. Francis gives them an explosive scorer off the bench, something they have lacked in recent years.</span>
If they were some how able to dump Miles I would have been blown away. Allen should work out buyouts for Miles and Francis.

whats more, a trade is going to happen in the next couple of weeks with the blazers that involves getting a small forward. from: http://blog.oregonlive.com/blazers/So I just got out of the press conference with Kevin Pritchard, Nate McMillan and Tom Penn, and there's more news on trades. I'll post the audio in a second, but I wanted to give a few updates before I do that, so here goes:-- The Zach Randolph, Fred Jones and Dan Dickau to New York for Channing Frye and Steve Francis has been confirmed. But it also includes the Blazers 53rd pick Demetris Nichols. Nichols goes to New York in exchange for a future second round pick.-- But the big news is that there's still another trade waiting to be completed. The thing is that it can't be done until a certain number of days after the New York trade has been completed. So in roughly 10 days, there will be another trade and it will in some way involve a small forward.-- Rudy Fernandez will not be coming over to the states this year. His European contract is described as "prohibitive" by Pritchard. And there's something going on with Fernandez, as Pritchard, when asked about whether or not Sergio's having played with Fernandez had a hand in the Blazers picking him, he replied, "That's part of the thing that I'm really not supposed to be talking about."Bottom line is that there are still big things in the hopper. I'm not sure for who, but I know that it involves a small forward. Let the speculation begin!-----------------------ill bet my bottom dollar that that trade involves jarret jack.
Possibly a trade for Rashard Lewis? Gerald Wallace? And, probably not, Marion?Eh, Blazers fans should be excited they have a front office and owner who are pretty much willing to do anything to make that team a contender as fast as possible.
Wow, Portland has really turend their franchis around since they were bottom feeders during the 05-06 season. Roy the ROY, Greg Oden, the Francis/Frye trade, and now a new SF coming in. Pritchard has done a great job rejuvinating this franchise after the fall off from the Bonzi Wells/Scottie Pippen days. Very exciting time for all fans of Portland. They are looking like playoffs already. Now Francis can say he's made the playoffs more than once.
