Wow I didnt know Zach Randolph was traded. Channing Frye is already a semi-proven PF who can start for you and you get Steve Francis who can also start or at least play significant minutes. This is a very good team they surrounded Oden with.EDIT: I passed out halfway through the draftThe only bad thing is that Portland is now the worst team in the NBA at SF I believe.
Can Rudy Fernandez play the three? Anyway, yeah; they've had great drafts in the past 2 years...especially last year.
If Portland was in the eastern conference, they would EASILY make the playoffs IMO. With them being in the West, I don't know if they'll make it. But damn that team is looking great right now.

The Bucks are no better at SF than the Blazers.

Aldridge and Oden will start. But frye will be a great boost from the bench.right now, I agree that the blazers are worst in the nba at SF, but it seems like they're gonna trade for a good one before the season starts so look out for that...
They have so much young talent, it's amazing...They've got a shot at the playoffs, although now they don't have a #1 scorer.
PG: Jack / Koponen / Green / RodriguezSG: Roy / Webster / JonesSF: Udoka / Outlaw / MilesPF: Aldridge / Frye / McRobertsC: Oden / Pryzbilla / LaFrentz+ Rudy Fernandez?That's sick.

Their only problem is at the SF slot, experience, and the fact that they don't have a secure #1 option now.

Portland appears to have finished up that 24th pick for cash trade with another raping of the Suns roster :no1: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Late in the evening, the Blazers closed a deal to acquire forward James Jones from Phoenix without giving up a player.</div>Phoenix trades: Rights to Rudy Fernandez and James JonesPortland trades: 3 million cash and a 3.1 trade exception

Someone yesterday said there were reports involving an incoming SF.
I think the Blazers are the perfect match of young and old now. I know with all the talent nates been given he will show us something on the court. I believe Nate Mcmillian to be a top 5 coach in the nba. He was the one who actually made the sonics a 50 win team. I think Steve Francis may actually learn his role now and be a great scorer and have one of his better seasons of his career. He will be a major x-factor for them next season and with all the defense in their frontcourt 80-90 ppg will be plenty to win games. As soon as next year I'd predict 45-55 wins.

Sure a young squad will be lacking certain neccesities but within the next 2 seasons Brandon Roy will be scoring 20 PPG. Also, for now no one scoring 20 PPG may not be a bad thing. The team has many weapons who can score 10-15 PPG and that could give defenses alot of problems.
