While he is out there to set up the rest of the team, and be more of a passer and set up man than scoere, he is still going to need to average around what he did this year in scoring around 13-14 points per game just to keep defenses honost on him. He can get into the lane driving better than anyone else on the Bobcats, he has developed a somewhat decent jump shot, so his scoring is able to cater to his passing and keep opposing teams defenses honost to where they can't just play Felton for the pass. He will need to keep scoring like that, to keep them making sure they can't just play one aspect of his game, and make him one dimensional.

The Bobcats are full of young players, with no veteran leadership. Richardson will come in and give the other Bobcats some kind of direction. This team isn't far from contending for a playoff spot either. Like Valo said, they have some depth. They have Okafor and May downlow, with Herrman coming off the bench. They're perfectly fine downlow for a long time. People are saying for the long run this is bad, but Richardson is only a 6 year pro. I think this was a good move by the Bobcats. The Warriors on the other hand just took a step back. They were a playoff team last year who knocked off the best team in the NBA. They were looking to make the playoffs again, but they traded one of their scorers for an unpolished prospect who most likely won't contribute next season.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I think why people are making such a big deal is the Bobcats need to keep building.</div>There's a point where you can't keep stashing rookies on your roster continually. That's all they've done since they became an expansion team. Draft and pick up low key players on the fly.

I'm sure the Warriors aren't done wheeling and dealing, because you don't just stand pat with a 10 million dollar trade exception and 5-8 million dollars of cap room. It's pretty much a unique trade, to dump an entire 12 million per year, should be interesting to see how it pans out.

It was not bad for them at all in my mind. They traded away there pick which was Brandan Wright because they don't want another young player. Instead of getting another young player they get a veteran. J-Rich will help out the Bobcats and make them a better team than before.

Jrich by no means is a franchise player but the bobcats have been the weakest team at sg in the nba for a while. adding a guy like him is a huge upgrade, it was a good deal for the bobcats and warriors. I think the bobcats have all the means to make the playoffs now. They have a great pure young pg in felton, a reliable vet in jrich,a great all-around player and defensive enforcer in gerald wallace, a nice young low post player in may, and a great dominant defensive center in Emeka. This team wouldnt surprise me if they won 50 games, but then again it's all about execution but on paper they are ready to make the leap now.

I think that some of yall are forgetting that Jason Richardson is only 26 years old. He has also improved his scoring numbers every year of his career, except for last year due to injury. I think this is a good trade for the Bobcats. Having Jason Richardson on their team will not only make them better but it will also bring more fans to the arena on game night.
