Looks like that's the outcome of our draft night. Barring that trade with Orlando. I'm sort of on the fence with Fazekas. I guess he'll replace Croshere, maybe add another dimension with his passing ability and some post play. Sounds like Mavs wanted to trade up and get him, but fell to us at 34. He shot the ball really well from 3 pt during camps, that's a very nice sign since our 3 pt shooting needs help.Reyshawn Terry also seems like a player, solid all around. Reading some scouting reports, weakness appears to be streakiness. I take it as our replacements for Croshere and Willis replacements on the roster. Hopefully this Sunday, we'll hear reports of Stackhouse and George. Both should be back and I think our most glaring need is a 2 guard still. Desmond Mason come on down.

The trade with Orlando saved us. I was a little upset with the two Euros, just thought it was a waste to toss 2 picks for guys who will never come to America. I'm glad Mavs traded 60 for Rey.Fazekas. I don't know how NBA ready he is. Because it seems like Avery already wants him as Dirks backup. But Avery must have confidence in him to put him in that type of position, so thats fine with me. Kind of bummed because it seems like Mavs didn't even have Glen Davis on their radar. But I'm happy with Fazekas. I think he was a little underrated in this draft. Because he was first round material before he pulled his name out of the 06 draft. Also because the guy has put up 20 and 10 the last 3 seasons. Pretty impressive.Happy we got Rey. It's funny, like Rok said. His weakness really doesn't seem like a bad thing. He scores a bunch of points and then shuts off, but at least he scored points in the first place. He'll just be deep on the bench and D-League for now. Hopefully he gets a contract.Probably the best Mavs could do with the limitation they had without having a first round. Summer League should be good with these two picks plus Tucker and Hodge to work with. And hopefully Mavs talk to Desmond. And Stackhouse is staying

I was kinda hoping that Alando Tucker might somehow slip to 34 and to be quite honest...I wasn't happy with the Fazekas pick. The Terry trade made up for it though in my eyes. He brings some much needed athleticism. Hopefully Fazekas can knock down some triples though because we really were lacking in that area last year.

While I would have liked to see Tucker or someone else, apparently Aver and Donnie have a vision of the players they need and want, and let's face it...a guy that can actually hit an open shot when Dirk passes out of a double team is a need :dribble:
