I mean why not? Skal still has a ceiling he hasn’t hit yet imo. So even if he has lapses, you’re still getting the development.

The only problem is that he's the only healthy player on the roster who can backup Whiteside. I mean, I guess you can start them together and then stagger them the rest of the half, but I'm sure Stotts would rather have him off the bench.

Would it be any different than how Collins was used? I mean, he was the primary backup to Whiteside. It would just mean more minutes for Hezonja.

I guess you're right--generally Bazemore comes in early for Zach, Hood slides up to small-ball 4 for a few minutes, and then they stagger Zach and Hassan. No reason they can't do the same with Skal.

what makes you think that Tolliver is a better perimeter defender than Faried? at least enough that it would be noticed?

as far as a shooter & defender, there were Dante, Jeff Green, Wilson Chandler, Patrick Patterson. And every one of those guys brings more to the floor than Tolliver

    I'm not talking about defense.

What was that legal trouble he got into a while back? Wasn't it domestic abuse? But then I heard he was acquitted or something?

    ok...gotcha...sorry

still, there are several guys on that list who play on the perimeter and bring more to a game than Tolliver. Maybe Olshey didn't expect him to play much at all, but apparently Stotts didn't get the memo

Oh I'm not defending Tolliver. He's completely worthless. He was a bad signing from the beginning.

I'm not sure it will be too crazy to start Skal and use Brown as a backup center or start Little at the 4.

Regardless of this injury, we need to add an athletic defensive big to this team.

I am guessing here, but I don't see how Little could possibly be ready at this point.
But I agree with starting Skal at PF. If he gets consistent minutes then I believe his 3pt shot would be effective. (assuming he does not force any)

If Collins and Pau are out for an extended period of time then I guess we could throw Brown out there. He won't be ready but if Skal and Hassan are in foul trouble......who else do we have?

Call me crazy, but I think Jaylen Hoard could play regular minutes. He’s a more natural 4 than the other guys in the roster, and he’s shown some playmaking ability.

I thought he looked really bad but he played well. Dude was almost completely salt and pepper.

Gotta think Moses will be activated if Collins’ absence is measured in weeks instead of days. We were short on bigs before the Collins injury. If he’s out, we’ll need Moses just out of necessity.

For sure, but I would agree with those who would start Skal. But Mario will get at least 24 minutes there as well.
