I will grovel at the feet of the winner if I can get duplicates of those winning beers, your Lordships.
Interestingly enough, I think it's a somewhat decent way (at least over time). Here's my thinking if a person is just a "troll" online, that tells you a lot about what they want to spend their time doing. I spend a lot of my time on a basketball website (s2) that should say something about how important the Blazers and Basketball are to me. If someone is willing to use anonymity to be insulting, arrogant, condescending, then that tells you a bit more. Of course, you can't judge everything off of internet personas, but I think there's is some insight to glean from how we treat people online. I'm a believer in trying to treat people on here just as I would in person because everything I do is a small reflection of who I am. If I can't even find it in me to be nice to someone on the internet, who knows what else is down there.
Oh, I agree that over time, we might have somewhat of an idea of how SOME people may be in real life, but like I said, it can't be a "sure fire way" or a litmus test to judge people. I mean just take note of how some people post with a sense of false bravado because of the anonymity of the internet, and you just know that there's likely no way they would be so brave face to face. Hell, over the years I've been threatened and/or challenged to an actual fist fight to resolve differences in opinions...I shit you not.
And you sir, come across exactly as you say. Quite rare to see full time. But perhaps you can see, many do so half time. Using the other half to signal their loyalty to the popular position of hate for the others who do not join them in their hate. Rather two faced in my view, and it does not include you.
We all have our moments. Often times in person I'm a fairly quiet guy, I like to try to think before I talk. Unless it's my wife, she hears basically every thought. Thank you though!
Differences of opinion don't necessarily equate to "hate". In fact, I'm sure there are some whose opinions differ drastically from my own, I may like personally and vice versa. Just because I can't stand Trump does not mean we might share the same views on other subjects...and might even surprise each other if we actually met and had a beer or twelve. And THAT my friend does include you.
