I was satisfied with our picks. Crittenton was a good selection. Glad we picked him up. Not so sure about Sun Yue...never actually seen him play. As for Marc Gasol, I think a few years down the road, he will be able to contribute.

Lakers made a great pick in Crittenton. Great defender with heart.. something this team lacks.

Crittenton or Farmar is getting traded this summer. That's for sure, you don't need two 20 year old point guards who play the same game on the same team.

Crittenton was a great pick. Best player available at 19. good move.I would've taken Byars instead of Yue.I like the Gasol pick.

After talking to other Laker fans... I might jump the Sun Yue bandwagon.I've seen highlights from the kid... 6'9" Point Forward pretty muuch. Lefthanded like Odom, very similar to Odom, I would even go farther to saying that he has a better mid-range game then LO and he can go both ways off the dribble.

I just hope they aren't bench warmers like McKie and Williams...

I'm very optimistic about Sun Yue. He looks like he would be able to take Lamar Odom's spot as a starter and looks to be better overall. He seems pretty fast (as fast as he needs to be), height, nice shots, and could be a very dominate scorer.

I thought the Lakers got great value with every pick. Crittenton was certainly the best prospect available at 19, he could have went lottery, and it fills a need. Marc Gasol is an interesting prospect and he was expected to go early 2nd round on most mocks that I saw. Sun Yue is very talented, I've only seen what's on youtube (thanks BCB). Apparently he can play 4 positions, he's very interesting.

It was not up to me, but I didn't like what the Lakers did. They got a point guard when they already had Jordan Farmar and are running the Triangle Offense. Crittenton might help them offensively and has a lot of potential, but I don't know how that will help them. Yue might end up being a good passer but he won't do well offensively because he is slow and has a poor jumpshot, but could develop into a poor man's Toni Kukoc. And finally, Gasol might end up being a solid offensive player down low; many thought he would go much higher. I thought it was an OK draft for them; they got two solid players with potential, but they need help sooner than later especially since Kobe is hounding on Kupchak to make moves...

I like the pick of Crittenton. It didnt look like farmar was hitting on anything and they need a good pg prospect.

^ Who else would you have picked at 19? They took the best player available instead of looking for "NBA ready" players. Plus, competition will bring out the best in young players. So you let Farmar and Critt go at it in TC/Preseason and they will both come out better from it.
