    I understand the Marazul is a fine piece of work! Not sure if you saw the link that Sly put in but it wAs a 3d printed boat. I was curious about the materials they used.

    Yes I saw that. You probable know what it is more readily than me. But then on the other had, I expect I can estimate the wieght of that shit, what ever it is in technical terms, at about 155 lb/ft3.
    Port Orford Cedar on the other hand comes in as nearly the lightest material with the greatest strength to weight ratio you can find, at 28lb per ft3. When you consider the moment of inertia you get with the natural material
    and the simplification this mean in construction complexity, there is no argument as to best. Dang hard to imagine the printer even in this game.

    Yeah, my guess is I wouldnt trust that boat they made to float on a large puddle in a rainy day in downtown portland for very long lol

    MarAzul has been from Victoria to San Diego and back, taking care of the ancient mariner. Perhaps Mexico next, if all goes well. Looks like this year is out though.
