<span style="font-family:Arial">I'm going to get ripped for this, but I have to go with Kevin Durant. I think he's going to be a solid starter, but not a superstar. I don't have an actual reason why I feel this way, it's a just of a feeling.</span>

Youve claimed to be not a big college fan...so nobody can blame you cause you probably have never seen him play. Dude had a 30 and 20 game...thats incredible for a freshman. He has the range, athleticism, mindset, smarts, work ethic and basicly everything you need to be a superstar. His mentality is already about the team...only knock on him is he is very young. You can just watch him and tell hes still a young adult, he reminds me of my friends and I..hopefuly he is mature enough to adjust(which he will eventually). Hes got great character as well...I just dont see a flaw in him as far as becoming a offensive powerhouse.

There are alot of questions surrounding Yi Jianlian. We already know that Yi's handlers don't want him in Milwaukee so this creates instant problems with the franchise he plays for. Many players are great over-seas but it doesn't transfer to the NBA, this is potentially what could happen with Yi.

Yi isn't the classic 7 foot banger, he's more of a Nowitzki type player. Many people say that Yi will be very similar to Dirk but remember that it took years for Dirk to adapt to the NBA. Also, Jianlian will need to bulk up and work on his rebounding before the season starts.

I was saying how I think Law may have went to high, as I thought JJ Redick did last season. That's what I meant.</div>Even if they both went too high, it's a poor comparison. Last year's draft is much weaker than this years. JJ was a one-dimensional player, while Acie has several assets. Atlanta just needed a point guard. If they had done it the other way around, with Conley at 3 and a big man at 11, I'd bet that they would have gotten a worse player at the 11.

Yeah he had an off shooting day but that happends and happends much more with young players. I don't know if Durant will have a LeBron, Carmelo, or Wade impact but he is guy that can come in and put up 20 right away in my opinion. He is going to fill out and he not also has a great height advantage but speed advatage as well very quick knows what he wants to do.

Anyone can be a bust. Remember Dajaun Wagner? He scored 100 points in highschool and was projected to be the next scoring champ of the NBA. Now he can't even make an NBA roster.

I watched Durant a ton last season, he has superstar qualities up the ying-yang. He's special.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (jordan @ Jul 7 2007, 01:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Anyone can be a bust. Remember Dajaun Wagner? He was projected to be very much like Allen Iverson but not as good as Iverson. Wagner had his colon removed and had a ton of injuries that ruined his career, it's not like he was too terrible not to make a roster, he showed flashs his rookie season in Cleveland. If he didn't have his health problem and the injuries, he would be a 20ppg scorer.

Exactly, somebody said Wagner was a bust in another thread which I addressed. In his 40 or so games in Cleveland, Wagner was pretty good getting 13ppg as a rookie...which is very promising. Wagner wasnt a bust, but just hindered with injuries right when he got started....he wouldve been a all-star caliber guard in the NBA.

By scoring champ, I over exaggerated.. but you knew what I ment.On the other hand, I didn't realised he was so plagged with injuries. Thanks for clearing that up.
