• LAST SEASON: Oklahoma City won the regular season series between the Trail Blazers and the Thunder in 2018-19, 4-0. Portland defeated Oklahoma City in the First Round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs, 4-1.

• Damian Lillard averaged 34.8 points (46.2% FG, 25.0% 3-PT, 91.7% FT), 4.3 re- bounds, 7.8 assists and 2.50 steals in four games against the Thunder last season.

• In four games against Oklahoma City during the 2018-19 season, CJ McCollum aver- aged 19.8 points (35.4% FG, 36.1% 3-PT, 88.9% FT), 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

• Chris Paul averaged 14.0 points (25.8% FG, 16.7% 3-PT, 83.3% FT), 8.0 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 2.50 steals in two games against Portland with Houston last season.

• In four games against the Trail Blazers last season, Steven Adams averaged 10.3 points (54.1% FG, 50.0% FT), 7.0 rebounds and 1.25 blocks.

Now the Blazers will be facing off against a very different OKC team. Can't wait to see what tricks or treats we get on Halloween Eve!

I loved the wag our guys fought back last night - it as a second of a b2b - and - Spurs at home are arguably the worst team to beat. Finishing this trip 3-1 it’s good and let’s back to PDX.
 
Poll question-
I loved the Thunder series win as much as anyone but the Nuggets series was a gritty series win that i feel is was a better accomplishment.
 
Well, even with the loss to the Spurs, if we win this one it's a pretty good road trip all things considered.
However I think OKC is a better team than most give them credit for. Paul, Gallinari, SGA and Adans are good players. their bench is decent too.
But this should be a good matchup for Whiteside

That really sucks....seen it too many times in my life. I found a friend who made that choice once....shook me up. I guess it's the end of suffering for some folks, just seems such a waste in most cases. Hope you shake the discomfort soon my friend! Go Blazers!

KJ, sorry to hear that. Very sad and it does make other things seem small.
 
well, Lillard isn't returning to the scene of the crime, but he is seeing the victim of his shooting for the first time since.

I wonder if one shot has ever had such a big and immediate impact on a team as Dame's walk-off series winner?
 
This isn’t the same without Westbitch. Adams might be out as well. He’d be a good matchup for Whiteside. So would Nerlens though. OKC is flying under the radar but they look pretty solid. Gallo is gonna cook Tolliver (tbf he’d cook Skal too, just in case you think I have an alternate angle here.)

Would be a good night to set Mario on Gallo, but Terry is so stiff with his decision making.

I thought the Spurs would have been a good matchup for Whiteside, given they have no stretch centers...

Mario would be the best guy to put on Gallo so obviously not going to happen. Mario has actually looked pretty good defensively so far.

McCollum will beat Alexander;
Hood will beat Ferguson;
Galinari or almost anyone else will beat Tolliver;
Whiteside will school Adams;
Portland has the better coach
Portland has the better bench;
Okie City has home court.

Tough decision but I'm compelled to go with Portland especially when I go for the other team over Portland about once every hundred or so games.
