I didn't see another thread on him, and forgive me if he has been discussed, I wasn't on all night. How do you guys feel about the Gabe Pruitt pick? I honestly like it a lot, and I think he was the best guard available. Would I rather have a veteran backing up Rondo? Of course, no doubt. But Gabe Pruitt is a good basketball player, he's an excellent offensive player, an excellent shooter, and he really does have the potential to be a solid backup point guard. He's not going to be like Jared Jordan out of Marist, who is a true point guard/playmaker. I compare him to Luther Head, but I think he's a little more athletic than Head and I think he has better court vision. I like this pick, what about you guys?

He has everything going for him except he's not even 6' I agree it is a good pick though at the time. It would of been nice to grab Taurean Green though

Yeah I'm with you POTG, I knew we'd pick a point, but I thought it'd be Taurean Green as well. I'm pretty happy with this though. Pruitt has some potential and can turn into a very good player. He reminds me a lot of Delonte West, a PG who is actually a combo guard with some PG skills.

He's actually 6'4'', and I think he's a much better man-to-man defender than Delonte is.

Pruitt pick was very good in my opinion. I liked his style of play at USC.

I like the pick of Gabe Pruitt. Gives us a nice backup PG behind Rondo. I was expecting Green to be taken here though.

I really don't know anything about this kid, I've never really seen him play live, I've seen some highlights, but I can't make judgements on him just from watching highlights. I'm looking forward to watching him in the summer league.

Reminds me of a slightly better shooting Delonte West. Same build. Same style of play.

They do not need another 2/3 player. They took the best guard available.

I love Marcus Williams, and I think he was the best player available (he and Byars), but like DRob said, we don't need another swingman. We have no room for Williams with Pierce, Ray, TA, and Gerald. While Williams can play 3 positions, he's not a guy that I want to give the full-time point guard job to. I think Pruitt was the best point guard available, and a good pick.
