Steals -Nick Young at 16Javaris Crittenton at 19Jason Smith at 20Alando Tucker at 29Josh McRoberts at 37Derrick Byars at 42 (The Gilbert Arenas award goes to Derrick Byars)Marc Gasol at 48Aaron Gray at 49Reyshawn Terry at 44Reaches - Acie Law at 11Sean Williams at 17Wilson Chandler at 23 (I know they've been eying him for a while...but it's still risky)Aaron Brooks at 26Petteri Kopenen at 30
I was a little suprised that Taurean Green dropped all the way to 52. The Blazers definitely got a good chemistry guy and a good shooter with him at 52.
Petteri Koponen was not a reach. He's a great point guard, and will start for Portland before long. (Mark my words).Marco Belinelli at 18 was a reach.

I didn't see him going till the early 2nd.
Jared Dudley is a great guy on to have on anyone's roster and is a very savvy and skilled player. At 22, MJ's obviously expecting big things from Dudley in his rookie year and you can call it a reach but there's no doubt he'll be a solid player for years to come. Also, you can't get much value at 22, either.Demetris Nichols is also a steal. I had no idea he'd be picked at 53. Brings great perimeter offense and defense. Marcus Williams at 33, anyone?
<span style="font-family:Tahoma">I thought Brandan Wright was a kinda steal for the Bobcats. Than they traded him away...</span>
I don't see Acie Law as being a reach at number 11. He is going to be a good point guard, that will set up that offense, as well as it is what the Hawks needed. I don't see it as a reach at all grabbing him with the 11th pick. I do see Cook at 21 as a reach. I thought he could have went later on in the draft, as he really didn't prove anything in college last year. Aaron Brooks at 26 was a reach also, no need for that.I am going with Taureen Green at 52 as a steal for this draft also. He has the potential to be a good part of this team in the future, and help out with the point guard spot for the Blazers, or whoever else they have. I also think that Julian Wright falling all the way to 13 ended up being a bit of a steal for the Hornets. He was a top talent in this draft, and I expected him to go a little sooner.
Biggest steal: Byars - def thought this dude was gonna go in the 1st rd -->>> Fazekas - thought this guy was a lot better then people givin cred forBiggest Reach: Chris Richard was a pretty high pick, as well as Thaddeus Young, and the Knicks pick, Wilson Chandler. Young has great potential but still needs work, Richard I thought was gonna be a mid 2nd rd'er, and Chandler really isn't that great.
Tiago Splitter was a big steal for the Spurs. He was being projected to be drafted by the Wizards in certain mock draft's. Spurs also grabbed another steal in Marcus Williams. He was another player who was projected to go in the first round yet fell. Very nice draft by San Antonio.Derrick Byars of course was a huge steal. He'll be great in Portland behind all the other young studs stacked on the Blazers roster.Lastly, Taureen Green falling to 52 for the Blazers. Portland had one of the best draft nights in recent memory.---
I thought Jeff Green was a bit of a reach at #5. Plus Seattle had already grabbed a SF/PF in Durant so what was the point?Sean Williams at 17 was a bit of a reach as well. I think if he cleans up his act though that could end up being one of the biggest steals of the draft.A big steal was Nick Young. I don't get how he slipped that far.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (The Truth @ Jun 29 2007, 11:07 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>sean williams aint a reach .... YOULL SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!</div>I agree. I don't think that he was a reach that high. In fact, if he didn't have some off-court issues leading to his being booted off because last year, he is a lottery pick IMO. Byars is an obvious steal. I don't think Tiago Splitter was a steal for SAS> People say they are shocked he fell so far, why do you think he did? He's a big man who gets overpowered physically and can't go inside, whats his worth.
Steal - Byars. The guy can fill it up and was a potential mid first round draft pick.Reach - DaeQuan Cook - He didnt show me much last year and there was some better, more for sure type talents, on the board when Philly took him.
I think Seattle should have drafted yi instead of Jeff Green. Talk about building for the future, Yi AND Durant? that would of been a hell of a combo.
Javaris Crittenton will turn out to be a huge steal. He'll come to the Lakers with a good chance of cracking the starting lineup and he's played the triangle in high school with Dwight Howard so he shouldn't have trouble adjusting to the offense. He's a project at 19, but will get instant minutes and should have no problem turning some heads next season.
How the hell do you know how good Kopenen and Gasol are enough to make a judgement on if they were steals or reaches.

I have no doubts that Crittenton is going to be a good player, he's got a perfect NBA body, but I don't think he's NBA-ready yet. One year at Georgia Tech will not equate to numbers immediately.
