Gabe Pruitt, Derrick Byars, and Dominic McGuire..Pruitt can score, real athletic, great defender, he just needs to work on being more of a true PG.Byars is a polished player; he plays good defense, he's a good shooter, very strong player, and he's a good passer for his position. McGuire is a GREAT athlete, he plays outstanding defense, great rebounder, good passer but he really needs to improve his shooting and maturity on the floor.

Derrick Byars shouldn't have fallen out of the first round. Bad enough the trade happy Blazers had to take him and send him to Philly before we could get the chance...

Derrick Byars. Dude was projected to go to Miami at 20...and he slips to 44? :dunno:He's not that athletic, but he's smart, and he's got a good jumpshot. He'll be pretty good....Gabe Pruitt, Josh McRoberts, Glen Davis, Nick Fazekas, Marcus Williams, Taurean Green and Marc Gasol also have the potential to be good.

Taurean Green was a steal at 52. And who stole him? Of course, the Trailblazers. It was just their night. Green was project late 1st in every mock draft I saw. Good steal there.

I like mcroberts, I think people underestimate him and I think he'll make a big impact.but of course I hope pruitt steps up and becomes a very nice bench guard for the c's

Derrick Byars or Josh McRoberts for me. Byars was such a steal in the 2nd round. I thought he could've gone in the 1st really. Same for McRoberts. He's a monster. Super active down low. Both of these guys can contribute right away.

I've heard good things about Pruitt, but to be honest I don't know much about him. I'll go with Marcus Williams. He's a terrific athlete, tough defender, he's pretty versatile, can play the 1, 2, and 3, and he should be pretty nba-ready right now. I don't know how much time he'll get on the defending champions, but he's a very good play. Pruitt might get better numbers because he might be the immediate back-up for Rajon Rondo.EDIT: Kind of forgot about mcroberts, he's a steal for sure.

Josh McRoberts could be good, but you never know, he sucked at Duke last year! Nick Fazekas is going to be a stud! And Taurean Green is going to be a solid point guard also!!!!

Of course I'm gonna say Marcus Williams for reasons both CB32 and I have explained many times. Derek Byars was also a huge steal at 42 for us. It would be more exciting though if we weren't already filled withplayers on the wing

Marcus Williams and Glen Davis. Both were steals, looking back in a few years they will probably be the guys people go, 'WTF'. Williams couldn't be in a better situation with Pop and that veteran team. He's not pressured to do much right away. Glen Davis is just big and can get it done. He's lost weight, and he did a lot in college, I think he will find a nitch and be good for a long time.

Playing for a coach like Pop is exactly what Williams needs to get more motivated on defense. I have no doubt he will improve on all his weaknesses there.

Best player of the 2nd round no doubt is Derrick Byars. Could've gone as high as 17.On to a new subject though, of the undrafteds, I think Kyle Visser is defiently the best. He could've been a early 2nd rounder, and showed great potential his senior year. Some team will pick him up.

Marcus Williams, Green, Derrick Byars, McRoberts. all steals.JamesOn Curry was a steal for Chi Town, IMO another Curry is good lol, I really don't mind this player, he's very quick from what I saw from him in college, pretty good shoter to.Brad Newley, Aussie! he's a steal... he's not bad.D. J. Strawberry, Suns could use him well at the end of his bench.

I had no idea Derrick Byars would fall that far. None of the mock drafts had him going in the middle of the 2nd round.. he's probably the best player in the 2nd round. Marcus Williams will become a legit player in this league, no question. Taurean Green will become a very solid backup PG in his NBA career, I think he'll turn out like Nick Van Exel (later in his career version). I also love Gabe Pruitt.. he's a pass first PG who Detroit really should have taken at 27, but that's just me. Dominic McGuire sounds like he could be an all-around player in this league. I mean, I haven't seen much of him but I can tell by the scouting reports that he'll be a lockdown defender for us at the SF position. He plays with a mean streak, but the problem is that he has trouble scoring the ball, but that's okay considering we took a scoring SG in Nick Young at 16.EDIT: Also, watch out for Stephane Lasme and Demetris Nichols. Lasme is a beastly shotblocker and scrappy rebounder at the PF spot, a LOT like Paul Millsap. Nichols can shoot the three and defend it, giving you the best of both worlds.. both of these guys could be big time steals.

Byars seemed like a real solid prospect to me...also Nick Fazekas...I always liked his game.

Actually I think Big Baby aka Glenn Davis is one of the better players also. But time and playing time will can only tell. And when you look at the direction that Seattle is headed and their front court situation there is no reason he wouldn't get time.
