As Thaddeus Pastor and High School Athletic Director, I am blessed to be involved in his life since he was a fifth grader. I realize that he NBA is nothing like college basketball with the difference in size and talent. One thing I know, Thad will give you his best. This young man has loads of talent and is a hard worker. He will come into camp and compete everyday for playing time. At 6-8 he can shoot, pass, rebound and is very athletic. When his name was called last night he hugged me and cried giving all thanks to God.He will also never, ever do anything to embarrass the organization. This young man had a 4.3 GPA and a 27 on the ACT. You all will enjoy this young man as a citizen of your city. I hope and pray that he can make you all as proud of him as I am. I am now a die hard Sixer fan. I hope you will allow me to post on this board.Henry BaskinAD Mitchell High SchoolSr. Pastor, New Galilee Baptist ChurchMemphis Tenessee
Welcome to BBW first of all & welcome to our 76ers section, we have a lot of passionate Sixer fans here who are sure to learn to accept and warmly welcome Thaddeus Young into our team, we all have high hopes for him and we know he's capable of doing some great things in the NBA.He seems like a nice guy and a person who's always looking to work hard, that's somthing you don't find in every player so im happy that a guy like this is now apart of the Sixers, im expecting good things from him in the near future, hopefully it leads to wins as well.Welcome :dribble:
Hey, nice to have you here. As a close friend to Thaddeus, do you know how he feels about coming to Philly? Anyways, I'm not gonna lie. I'm still a little displeasured about bringing Thaddeus to Philly. It's not him as a player I have a problem with. I think he has the potential to be an all star in this league and he's shown the work ethic to reach his full potential so far in workouts unlike Brandan Wright. It's just he happens to play the one position we have a log jam at and he's pretty much a clone of Iguodala and Rodney Carney. However if we can fix that log jam I will be much happier with this pick. Thad and Iggy could be one hell of a wing duo in a few years. It should help him playing behind Iguodala for a 1-2 seasons for sure. Anyways hope to see you stick around here. It will be nice having someone here that is so close to our top pick this year.
Hi, welcome to the board, and Ive had the pleasure to see Thadeuss in highschool and I watched him through his freshman season at Georgia Tech and I agree, he is a great character and is going to be a very good player in the NBA. Im a Grizzly fan, but I am also a fan of the 76ers and Im excited to see him go there.Hopefully with you being from Memphis you will contribute to our Grizzlies section.
I live in Atlanta so I watched the kid play about 10-15 times this year.. He's got loads of talent and potential, plus he's a very smart guy and a quality person. I don't think Philly is where he should be since they drafted a guy similiar to him last year in Rodney Carney. I think he'll play because he's just too good to have sit on the bench.Welcome though, and I'm sure lots of people are glad to hear such positive things on Thaddeus.
Welcome. I really really like Thaddeus even as an outsider looking in. I'm definitely happy he landed on a team in the Atlantic so I get to watch him 4 times a year at least when the 76ers aren't on national TV. I believe Thaddeus could very well be one of the 5 best players to come out of this draft.I'm glad that these players have people out there like yourself, who actually care about them as a person rather than their bank account.
