I just dont believe so much on this team. Tolliver cant play. We need a trade - this roster cant compete in a high level, and thats clear. Another loss at home coming...

Portland is on the same tier as NY, Chicago, Memphis, NO etc.
This next game has all the ingredients of a blowout. Stotts won't/can't change anything. You would have to be on glue to put money on Portland. They are playing as bad as anyone at the moment and this will be the first season without a playoff appearance in quite some time. Someone should be fired.

The West is too competitive to start like this and expect things to turn around. I am still a fan and want them to win but it is what it is.

A sad sad truth

Radical acceptance

I'm just interested in watching Simons play at this point. I don't really care about watching the starters play lol. I know what Dame and CJ can do--I love watching young guys like Simons improve each game.

Edit: And I don't think anyone should be fired for this season. We're hurt and it doesn't mean people should be fired. I mean we're starting Tolliver for crying out loud lol.

"I dont blame Stotts, I mean were starting Tolliver"... why dont we start Skal then...? Dude can play PF much better than Tolliver, and he can be staggered to play backup C as well.

But no, Stotts only played him 19 minutes last night. Same as Tolliver.

Even Little would be better than Tolliver

I had been thinking about getting some Dames for quite some time. We are organizing a Dad/Daughter volleyball game and the only proper shoes I had were my Stan Smith's. So, to not look completely dorky I ordered some Dame 5s. They are very comfortable and certainly look better on the court than my Stans.

As to the game, I predict an ass whooping. Although I wouldn't be shocked to see one of those games where Dame, CJ and Ant all shoot 60% or better from three and get lucky.

Man my day just get really stressful after last night. Blazers should have won last night but they will today

Aiight here’s the deal. Tolliver and Mario have offered next to nothing offensively. They have the two lowest obpm among the rotation players. Mario is however one of the few guys on the team that defends, and the numbers back it up, as he’s third on the team in dbpm behind Baze and Skal.

It’s too early to be making trades, so we have to deal with what we’ve got. I don’t know if solution is the word, but the first order of business should be to consider taking Tolliver completely out of the rotation. That’s roughly 20 minutes freed up, not an insignificant number, especially considering most of the issues are with the second unit. Mario should probably see his minutes reduced, but honestly, he hasn’t really been given the ball the way he got it in preseason. When he’s with the starters, he’s basically just standing around while dame/CJ go ISO.

My rotation starting tonight, assuming Hood is a go:

Dame
CJ
Baze
Hood
Whiteside

Second unit

Simons
Hood
Little/Trent
Hezonja/Little
Skal

Trent played well on both ends yesterday, so he probably deserves another look tonight as well. This is obviously not ideal, but running Tolliver and Hezonja out there for a combined 40 minutes isn’t working either.

btw I do think Olshey should consider signing another big, but I also have no idea where Gasol is in his rehab.

Damn you know your in a lottery year when you don’t even care about this game and know a loss is coming

Naw I don’t think anybody needs to be fired.

injuries just did us in. Simple as that. We’ll be fine next year when we run it back fully healthy and more weapons with our lottery pick and trading Whiteside and Baze
