    When is Whiteside tradeable? I don't think there will be a trade, but if they were going to trade Little (or other wing) and Whiteside, then signing Anthony would fill the wing gap.

    I heard the Blazers engaged Detlef Schrempf before he finally said no and the team turned their attention to Melo.

    Initially, I was basically repulsed by this idea last night. I woke up this morning and thought maybe I just had a bad dream. Checked, nope still real. I must now bring myself to cheer for Carmelo Anthony.
    I guess the worst that happens is we get a decent lotto pick.

    I don’t think it would have to be Whiteside initially but. I could see a pkg consisting of one of the veteran guards, young asset, & picks for a seasoned good 3/4 - 4/5.
    We do have some decent flexibility / assets we can use to beef us up not just for this year but for the next 2-3 years.

    Not outright, but in theory a salary dump could be done right now with his salary, picks and some young talent for a vet big man with a large long term contract.

    Yes, I was joking. I actually think there are a lot of teams who would gladly take Whiteside's production, especially given his expiring deal.

    I look at this that he is a Blazer and will pull for him just like I do for ever other on this team. If he has something left that be great and if he doesn't he always can get waive and that will be the end of his career. So I really think he doesn't what to end his career like this and just might surprise some people in here.
