https://techcrunch.com/2019/11/15/the-house-and-senate-finally-agree-on-something-robocalls/ “Our agreement will require telephone carriers to verify calls and allow robocalls to be blocked in a consistent and transparent way, all at no extra charge to consumers. The agreement also gives the FCC and law enforcement the ability to quickly go after scammers,”
trump is a stable genius with a great memory. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/11/13/tru...with-ambassador-sondland-cited-by-taylor.html oops, maybe that memory isn't as sharpie as he thinks.
I actually get several calls a week that comes up with caller ID that says Scam Likely and I never programmed it into my phone.
If I get a call from a number I’m not familiar with (currently several a day now that I’m of Medicare age and it’s Open Enrollment time) I just ignore it. If it’s a valid call, they will leave a message. But most of the time the calls are from places (including foreign countries) where I know absolutely no one. So I immediately block the number and go on with my life. But I certainly do appreciate the new legislation......
"As a member of.... Costco Hilton Rewards Hyatt Anything You qualify for $800 off of a vacation package to Mexico."
I average about 5 a week...it's usually a local area code and I finally just started to not answer the call if I didn't recognize the number or if they were not in my contacts...I figure if the call is truly important they'll either call back or leave a message...but the bots got smarter and started leaving recorded messages in my voice mail. Hopefully, this bill will do what it is designed to do.
Does Trump know this?...if not, when he does find out I'm guessing that Maris will be the whistle blower.
