    He was supposed to be cleared by the start of training camp to play though. There is no way they would've signed him with Nurk out if they knew 15 games into the season he would still be out. The mentor part of it can also be true too but they did expect him to give them some minutes with Nurk down. It became magnified when Collins got hurt.

    That’s dope that Gasol is staying to be a coach. We been looking for a big man coach since that one dude got fired for leaking LMA was leaving. Gasol must have liked the city In his short time here..

    Gasol said the timeline on his injury was 6-12 months, and judging by the supposed protections in his contract, seems like it was far from certain he would be ready for training camp. And yeah, Collins going down fucked things up. They need an actual center.
