It’s all good. I understand. But I find myself doing it sometimes too. Just saying those things are out there.
I will say this: I think the overall forum rhetoric is much better than I'd expect given how disastrous this start has been. There will always be a bunch of different opinions and mindsets that will boil with frustration, but it's been better than years past.
Baze could turn into a Wes Mathews type 3 and D guy...he's not great around the rim though and neither was Wes.....Wes used to brick fast break layups often with nobody between him and the basket...Baze tries to drive into 3 defenders and doesn't have the chops to finish yet.
Biggest thing I've noticed about Baze statistically is he's super inefficient from 3-10 feet (in the 20% range for his career) but he's shooting a career high 16% of his shots from that range. That and he's not finishing from 0-3 feet (less than 40%).
using elipses like I do, I only see one sentence but verification would cost you big bucks....I get paid by the word
Dame first brought it to my attention when he talked about Neil...it was when Aldridge was taking meeting in Los Angeles...the gym rat and accessibility part...the hair gel and suits are just color commentary...I also assumed Jerry West doesn't want the job
Haha! Yeah, Mr. Olshey really screwed the pooch. I am just glad that everyone knows it was his fault and not mine. But please don't tell him I said that.
He's in LA whenever he wants to be now...probably same with his wife...it's not that far to bop down there..but living there is terrible compared to Portland in my view...Neil travels a lot...and I don't see why he would move here and give up his Clippers gig and his tv gig unless he wanted that change..and I've lived in both places...raising a family in LA would suck...flying down there for a weekend can be fun
well whatever you or I think about LA is irrelevant. The weather, their friends and family, some people just love LA. Being in Portland hasn’t been easy for them, I don’t think. Not saying they hate it here, but it’s not LA and they love LA.
Unfortunately Olshey’s historic miscalculation can be reproduced in Excel with about 15 minutes of effort on basketballreference.com. The ET debacle only takes 2 minutes to confirm. But hey, who needs analytics... Olshey has eyes.
Yeah, constructing a basketball team is as simple as getting the players wirh the best BPMs... you cracked the code.
On the brighter side: Nurk Zach Hood CJ Dame is a great starting lineup. We just need to hope Little, Ant, Trent, Skal and whoever else we get can develop to make a good second unit. So we should use this season to make that happen.
