What are you talking about ? Even if you thing Zach is our future starter at the for sure we need someone to back him up. No way should Hezonja play above Skal right now, Skal is way better

Skal is going to be a rotation player at least this season....Nurk will probably start out playing limited minutes....Nas is the guy who will lose court time when Zach gets back unfortunately ...Nas is a keeper

I'd still like to see Nas play some at the 3. It would help our rebounding too.

Was just talking about his form. He had a mid range mild fade away last night vs Chicago and I had a serious flashback to Sheed. It was warm and comforting. Skal's confidence is growing and it's awesome to watch. Really like his ceiling.

He has a real nice soft touch on his jumper, good arc and his offensive game is pretty impressive...I really like the kid...Pau is going to really bring his game around..he's not hard to move off the block...Zach used to be like that and now is much stronger in the paint when healthy
Skals jumper is more Lamarcus than Sheed to me

I see a solid rim protector, I dont know what others see... and he rebounds the ball at a good rate statistically.

I think he will be but he gets pushed off the block and isn't a great defensive rebounder yet...he alters shots that as I mentioned for some reason tip to the other team who then convert a fast break....he's trying...good shot blocker....the few holes in his game I see are easily correctable...Zach doesn't get pushed out of the block or easily boxed out for defensive boards...Skal looks like Zach his first year with playing time in that area to me. Both guys needed more lower core strength...I think next season Skal will make a leap with Pau's help..maybe even this season

To me, he just needs to get stronger, especially down low and in his hand grip.. This is his fourth year in the league and I'm surprised he hasn't done more in that area.

I said defensive rebounding. His DRB% is 17.3%.

Last year, ET's DRB% was 18.9%. Meyers 22%. Aminu 23%. Kanter 23%. Nurkic 27%. Given our rebounding issues, and the fact that he's playing center, it needs to be higher.

Skals rebounding percentage this season: 17%.
    Zach’s this season: 7%. But that’s a small sample. Last season: 12.7%

If you dive deeper, their contested rebound percentages are practically identical.

What I’m seeing with Skal, especially defensively, is a large responsibility, whether it’s to cover up the perimeter defenders mistakes, or naturally, as the blazers scheme funnels shit to whoever is protecting the rim. That’s a lot of pressure to put on a guy who’s naturally a power forward. That’s why I’m firmly in the acquire another center camp. I’d love to see Skal play next to someone like Joakim Noah.

He's definitely thrown into the fire with our lack of bigs….it's fun watching him develop and as I said...Pau pulls him aside everytime he comes out of the game....if he can learn from Pau he may make the leap this season...

I'm sure Terry will get right on that. Lol. This is going to be Chief all over again.

I think Nas to Terry is our Gerald "Crash" Wallace moving ahead

As he should be. Nas is great... I was just referencing Terry's reluctance to play certain players in certain positions, for example Chief at the 3.

I love that story of Gerald Wallace's coaches putting a sign that read "Don't Dive" on his locker. So funny.

Or combine Little and Simons, but we need Simons to start shooting better as he has struggled the last several games with his shooting.
