Duckworth was a beloved member of the team, city, community, etc. Meant more to all of those than Roy ever did

Well no argument there. I even fished with him a few times. But i never got the feeling he would have had a problem with this? Maybe i'm wrong? Pretty easy going guy.

I think that depends on LaLa. What if NJ decided they wanted to sign him?

I was wondering if he picked 00 as a tip of the hat to Dame's 0. Or maybe he thinks he's twice as 0 as Dame? Maybe 00 represents a reset of his career, like a new beginning. Or maybe I missed him giving a reason?

Melo said he chose 00 because he couldn't wear 7 and he liked 007.....James Bond....so he went with the 00......Rick Adelman, Lamarcus Aldridge wore #12.....don't remember Lamarcus getting grief for it even though Rick wasn't a superstar....he did have a part of Portland legacy...numbers get used...there are only so many...I think it's no big deal that Enes or Melo wore 00....I loved Duck but honestly Duck wasn't a superstar either...just a loyal, very good center...when it's all said and done if they want to retire Duck's number....they can still do that

I wasn't thrilled with Kanter wearing it. It's more about the team making 7 unavailable, but not 00.

The way they're playing with Melo kind of reminds me of how they played with Aldridge. Throwing the ball into the block, pick and pop, etc. If they can add Nurk and his screening/playmaking to the lineup the offense could really be unstoppable.

I'll take 4th grade, broken wrist Melo over what we were running out there prior to his arrival.

I really think too much was being made about his time in OKC and Houston.

Neither team has a good culture. Westbrook is a joke and Harden has driven off... how many stars now?
