<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BrewCityBuck @ Jul 6 2007, 11:51 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Exactly. Most of Kapono's game is centered around getting a good pass in a good spot. In Toronto he won't get the looks he did in Miami and you will see his percentages from three drop back down to around 40%. Like you said, it's the same thing with Damon Jones, in Miami he'd just stand out there and hit them all day long, now in Cleveland he's nearly useless. It's the same deal with Kareem Rush, if he doesn't get a set shot he's ineffective.</div>Yeah, everyone gets good looks here and as long as you're a decent shooter you'll get a big pay-day the next time your contract expires. Its like that all the time, Rafer Alston and Damon Jones were the last two that did this and now Kapono left. I hope he does good in Toronto but hes not worth 6 mil a year, he is a shooter and not much else. He is a decent rebounder but isnt a good defender isnt athletic and is basically just a guy that will knock down threes.
Ya everybody, Jason Kapono gets a whole sh*tload of passes from his teammates. What the hell are guys talking about? Jason Kapono attempts 8 field goals a game. Ya thats a crapload of looks for him. What you guys fail to understand is that Jason Kapono does not set up shots for himself, he gets set up. For someone to say, "oh in Miami's system you get more touches" give me a break, Kapono doesn't work off the dribble, he needs to be set up in the corner.

Everyone here gets good looks. He only got 8 feild goal attempts a game but they were all open threes. He's not quick enough and doesn't have the ball-handling skills to create his shots, u'r right there. If Ford can get into the lane (I dont watch him at all so I dont know his game) and give Kapono some good passes, Kapono wil be fine. As long as there is a good slasher who can pass the ball out on the team, Kapono will get his looks and will knock down a bunch of threes.
He is getting the average amount of money for the top tier pure shooters in the NBA. BTW I think he won't be AS effective as he was in Miami but I know for sure he won't take a large step back because he will be getting the ball from TJ and Jose slashing and Bosh when he gets doubled.
