So you don't want to trade for CP3 anymore?

Maybe, getting yet another 1st round pick to add to their collection while getting rid of CP3's horrible contract is something I think they'd jump at though.

Personally I'd think the Blazers would decline, absent any healthy centers. Whiteside and a first for Covington? I don't think so. Mayyyyyyyyybe Nurk were back.

Dieng has struggled shooting the ball this year but has been dominant on defense in limited action. I think he'd be okay as a temporary stop gap. We'd still have the Hood DPE to add someone like Faried/Noah or trade for any number of centers that qualify too for depth. I guess it comes down to how much the Wolves would want Paul. If they see him as a huge asset maybe they'd be the ones throwing in a pick. I do agree it does seem like a lot (I'd lottery protect the 1st) but it solves our wing problem for the next 3 years.

Mainly because I've stopped caring about the season. However, if we DID trade for CP3 I'd watch the hell out of the next few games at least.

Hm. That's an interesting trade that sort of makes sense - so it'll never happen! I think that if the Wolves players couldn't stand playing with Butler because he bossed them around, that would go double for Chris Paul. But that said, they obviously need to shake something up and they don't want Teague or Dieng. However, I imagine Covington is a pretty hot commodity...

Thunder fans are going all crazy on Blazers fans on Twitter because they have a better record.

I think it's bad for the Thunder long term because now they might not trade guys like CP3, Gallo, and Adams. Their rebuild won't be as good if they try and make the playoffs and don't bottom out. It will be like the Blazers when Aldridge left only with a PG 10 years older.

But they have so many picks from their various trades they can both rebuild AND stay good. And they already have their star of the future in Gigeous-Alexander. They are right to gloat.

But how good will the rebuild be if none of the picks end up being lottery picks? SGA and maybe Bazley are the only two young guys they really currently have with massive potential.
