    I think a lot of them took a knee rather than to vote for either, which I don't believe will happen in 2020.

    The Dems were most fired up right after re-election with their rallies and what not. This impeachment thing is ho hum. I think they got discouraged when they took heavy losses on Kavanaugh and the Mueller investigation.

    Sure, more democrats will come out because they lost in 2016 and they don't want that feeling again.

    However, I think this impeachment thing has only energized the right.

    "The dems are trying to fuck you over. Vote Trump 2020".

    The ONLY thing Trump is good at is firing up his base with crazy statements, lies and conspiracies. Impeachment is just another drop in the bucket. I don’t think he will gain any more voters because of this. I just don’t see the logic. Who the fuck has been sitting watching this for three years and now is like “ok, now I’m fired up and going to vote for Trump, he’s got my vote now this changes everything”? The voter who sat and watched and listened to: the Wall, the terrible mexicans, the shit hole countries, the Mueller report, the Russian shit, the Paris accord, the cages, the pussy grabbing, the Clinton stuff, the Biden/Pelosi bashing...NOW is going to vote? No way.

    He did it too is one of the defenses that I've seen Republicans use. Not the only defense but one of many. It seemed to me that they were throwing a bunch of unconnected thoughts out there as if to see what would stick.
