Range Rovers have always been that way. Amazing when they're new but put some miles on them and they fall apart.
The British have always had different ideas about engineering and building cars. I owned 5 British sports cars when I was much younger and learned the hard way that you must always carry your tool box with you. Range Rover was founded by the very same company that built my Triumphs. (British Leyland)...fwiw, my TR6s were a blast to drive.
Chinese own Volvo which is a huge step up from when Ford owned it. The Chinese are pouring Billions into engineering. Ford spent near zero on new engineering for many years.
The best thing about this Fiat is that it is a rebadged Mazda with a Fiat engine. Still, why not just buy the Mazda it is based on, it looks better, has a Mazda engine and a newer generation gearbox. ... and if you are not a good enough driver to be fast with one of these, you can always put a LS into one... https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/news/a30194/all-the-details-on-the-525-hp-flyin-miata-v8-swap/
In '017, I worked for ten months at the Mannheim Auto Auction and I agree they were fun to drive but never worried about owning one. The talk was they sucked!
