When you have the best record in the NBA and won like 18 games in a row or something just a short time ago losing on the road to a good team isn't a big deal. When you get off to a crappy start and are fighting to get back into the mix losing at home to the Pelicans (after you already lost to them, the Cavs, the Warriors, etc.) is not even in the same ballpark for disappointments.

I think it is. After all, we won’t be facing Cavs, Warriors, Pels in playoffs. Bucks have to solve Philly who completely shut down their best player. I’m fine with us disagreeing though.

See- last year when people were bitching about losses mid season, I started a thread saying if we want a 50 win season, we’d have to stomach 32 losses without flipping out. Most said we wouldn’t win 50 and continued to bitch. We won 53 and in 4th qtr vs Denver Game 7, did a loss in December matter to us? Of course not. Keep things in perspective. You have to take losses in stride to get through a long season.

Jesus. Not really what happened and we had a far better record at this point, but paint your own narrative Eric.

I have no idea how someone can argue against this.

No problem agreeing to disagree, but isn't this the opposite of what you're saying for the Bucks? They're going to win 60 games so they have to lose 22, why be disappointed in a December loss to the 76ers if the Blazers shouldn't have been last year?

BTW, losing 1 extra game last year cost us home court advantage against the Nuggets. They obviously won anyway but that can be the difference between winning a series and losing one.

If we lose this game, it’s another 3 game losing streak for the Blazers

the Blazers really need a win against Utah. If they lose tomorrow, then lose Saturday against the Lakers, the best they could finish this year is 15-19. I'm a pessimist about this team and I've been thinking for a while they'd be 17-17 on Dec 31. A 15-19 record is a pretty deep hole to climb out of considering their schedule for the first 6 weeks of Jan-Feb

Exactly. The point is we have to put disappointing losses behind us and not freak out. The same is true for all fans, even for Bucks fans. That was my point.

Bucks have proven they can beat good teams consistently.. Dallas, Toronto, LAC x2, Jazz x2, L*kers, Houston, list goes on.

We, however, have not. Dallas? And if you want to include OKC then Milwaukee has beaten them too.

We have shown we suck against good teams, whereas Milwaukee has consistently shown up against good teams.

So yes, every loss sucks for us. Milwaukee can absorb an off night. We can't. That part isn't even up for debate, honestly.

It is of my opinion that if we had a 27-4 record and got blown out on Christmas Day by Philly, this forum would be full of people bitching about it. That's the way a lot of these posters are. Always something to bitch about.

In 2013-14 we were 24-5 when we played the Heat at home on December 28th. That's the game Bosh hit a deep wide open 3 to win by 1. The only complaint I had about that game was not guarding against a 3 pointer when up 2 since you lose if they hit a 3 but no I don't recall many people "bitching" about the team.

I was at that game and Aldridge had a chance to win it after Bosh's shot if he had shot off glass. I was devastated. It's weird to think of now because a 24-6 record is still good but losses sting more when you have a chance at regular season greatness. I don't remember how people here responded but I do remember the middle of that season was awful. The least happy I've ever been as a Blazers fan. We couldn't beat anybody. We ultimately had to win 8 of our last 10 just to get the 5th seed. After a 24-5 start!!!

If we're 27-4 losing one in december means nothing.

If we're 4-5 games under .500 and we have already proven we suck and need every win to just hope the team can make a few extra million so they can pay the tax... I mean, make the playoffs for 2 home games, then every loss is bad.

I know there are people that want to make the playoffs... and I'm usually for it every year. But this years team there is no reason for this team to make the playoffs. We're getting smoked by any decent team in a series. Literally the only way we win a series is if Dame goes for 55 each game. Since that's not happening, the playoffs are a lost season this year.

Next year, we're winning the championship, barring injuries, so there's that.

Ugh. Another national TV game, another loss with announcers complaining about our offense.

We are not as good as we was last year due the fact injuries has hurt and our bench has been non existent this year.

I'm going with a win in this game. Blazers seem to play tougher on the road.

They are a 11-3 home team. We are going to have a tough time on their court. If Dame is cold, we are frozen.
