<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Raptors have enjoyed a consistent fanbase throughout their history. From 2000 to 2002, the Raptors led the league in sellouts. They drew high attendances in the 2006-07 regular season, averaging 18,258 fans per game?92.2% of the ACC's seating capacity.[77] Combined with the continued popularity of the Raptors, the value of the franchise has risen from US$125 million in 1998 to $315 million today, according to a 2007 Forbes report</div>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto_Raptors Wow. That kind of suprised me.
Yeah, it's no secret that Toronto loves basketball...Even 2 years ago when we were god awful, we still were around 15th in attendance...that just shows are loyalty...I think attendance will reach an all time high in 2-3 years.
our fan base is amazing. the fans at the ACC are so loud and I must say its one of the most energetic arenas. look at Toronto FC. they suck so badly and yet they sell out as well.
The ACC and the Goldenstate arena are the loudest in the NBA imo. Soon I'll be at each and every game.
The city of Toronto can support any team you put in here. It's just a natural sports city like New York. No matter how bad, or how good, there will be people in the seats. I love it because I went through some tough times with the Raptors and winning is a great change.
Dont forget about Ottawa. The fans are also very loyal. Even when the Senators were "choking" in the playoffs, they were still pretty high in attendance. And in the NHL playoffs this year, the fans were no doubt the loudest.
About that, does this mean RaptorsTV will stop showing games their? I had it last season and the analysis is horrendous. I dunno why sportsnet doesn't show more games. And TSN doesn't deserve to show games, those f'n hockey lovers. Score and Sportsnet are the best for the Raptors, although I do hate Adnan....Torontonians know what I'm talking about.
Its a no brainer the team's line graph of sucess would be very lopsided towards both ends, but im glad in the era we are living in now. I think for the next 4-6 years, we are a lock for playoffs, just because of the fact that there is no way but up with because's management, and our core is young and developing.
I love watching Raptors games on TSN....I got a nice HDTV and TSN is the only network on cable tv that shows Rap games in high definition on a regular basis.
I expect pretty much every home game to be sold out next year. Toronto loves basketball we have such a large city but its not just city an entire Nation loves this team. And we also have fans from the Buffalo area, and some areas of New York who don't like the Knicks or Nets. Same thing in Baseball I know a lot of people in New York and Buffalo who are big time Blue Jays fans.
