http://blog.mlive.com/fullcourtpress/2007/...ut_trading.htmlFrank Hughes, Sonics Insider for The News Tribune, quoting a source from local radio station WXYT, says the Pistons are considering shipping Richard Hamilton to Seattle.
July 1, The News Tribune: I got a call from a friend in Detroit who said a radio station there -- 1270 AM -- is saying that Richard Hamilton may be heading to the Sonics. This has not been confirmed by anybody I know but just thought I'd throw out the scuttlebutt. Keep in mind, though, that assistant GM Scott Perry was hired from Detroit, and the Pistons just drafted Rodney Stuckey and Arron Afflalo.
These are the only details available on this rumor, and they are sketchy at best. Don't be surprised if it picks up steam considering that Scott Perry recently joined the Sonics front office. Still, keep your eyes open for a more reliable source before taking any stock in this rumor.SOOOOO Stupid if it's true.
"Let's deal an All-Star and our most durable player, when we're still competitive, to make room for 2 rookies." Ugh, I don't buy it.

This is wishful thinking on the Sonics part, maybe the Pistons would do this if it was a sign-and-trade for Lewis but thats it.
Wow the Pistons would be incredibly stupid if the actually did this, but I think this is just made up anyway.
Sonics would be getting the better end of this deal, especially with Lewis and Allen leaving/gone. No idea why Pistons would decide to do this, though.
Haha, wow there's actually smart people here. Over at pistons.com when the rumor was broke most people over there thought this was a good deal, I'm like am I the only one with half a brain? Wilcox is good but not worth Rip, if we could get him without touching a starter that'd be great. Same with Wilkins, but I don't want Watson. This would be very dumb if this particular deal went down. And why do you need Lewis and Prince, if it was a sign and trade for Lewis get rid of Prince instead of Rip.
a dumb part for pistons to do. this basically destroys their whole team. and without rip and billips they wont be that good next year. wilkins and watson is not enough to replace a billips or rip. they still have 1 or 2 more years to win.
Rip and Nazr for Rashard Lewis and Earl Watson. In a Second.Billups/Gerald Wallace(wishful thinking)/Rashard Lewis/Jason Maxiell/Rasheed Wallace6th Man: Tayshaun Prince7th Man: Earl Watson8th Man: Amir Johnson(if resigned)Woooo. lot of wishful thinking.
imagine Seattle...watson/dalonterip/szczerbiakdurant/greenwilcox/whatever rookieswift/rookiestackedtoo bad aint gonna happen
This would be a stupid move on the part of Joe Dumars. Why trade Rip to Seattle?Even if it is a sign-and-trade for Rashard Lewis, I don't see Lewis as being a better fit for Detroit than Rip. Sure he might be a little more versatile offensively, but he plays the same position as Tayshaun Prince and the majority of his offense revolves around posting up and shooting threes, something they already have Rasheed Wallace for...No way I think Detroit should do this, and I don't think they will.
Theres no reason for Detroit to even think about this. They are already contenders and trading rip only takes away from what they already have.
1270 made up this rumor. I've been listening to them all day and they haven't said anything about it.

I don't understand why the Pistons would trade RIp, I mean they are still a contending team unless they are getting Shard in a sign and trade I don't see why they would trade RIP, even getting Rashard I still wouldn't trade RIP I would trade Prince.
No way this happens. Seattle dosent have much that can accomodate us, and Rip is one of our main corner stones. But if they give us Durant...thats a different story.
