i agree with your assessment and am just trying to be realistic concerning what the acquisition cost would likely be though, as he is a young allstar signed to a 4 year contract. i don't feel that in a vacuum, his addition to our current team, would make us into annual title contenders against the super teams of the west.
Why would you give up some much for him when he hasn't made Minnesota a winner. He another player that's worry more about his stats then if there going win or not.
I hate to sound like Olshey, but... There aren't a lot of promising, physically gifted and supremely talented players available out there and if they were - they wouldn't be available to us. No one is making Luka Doncic or Zion available right? If you make a decision to do a rebuild, there aren't a lot of players as good as KAT to start with.
The Blazers are not a good team. I'm not the biggest fan of KAT. But, anytime you can acquire star or superstar level talent, you do so without thinking twice. The assumption that the Blazers can't use a player of that caliber because he won't fit in is complete and utter nonsense. I'm the biggest fan of Nurk ever. One of my favorite players ever. You still find a way to get KAT if you can.
There is a "rumor" that KAT & Booker want to play together. The Suns probably have enough assets to make the trade.
Yea, who the hell needs an athletic big who can rebound and shoot from anywhere on the court nowadays?
True. Nurk may be a roll of the dice at this point. But I’d roll those dice. Dame and CJ don’t fit that well with a no defense big and Nurk’s RPM last year was better than any Kat has posted to date.
Fuck that this guy sucks and is overrated he can’t even lead a team to be the 8Th seed. Jimmy Butler gave them a taste of that and they almost fucked that up when jimmy missed the last month of the season. Other than that KAT never once made the playoffs. There’s a reason Butler bailed on them quickly and destroyed them with bench guys during that infamous scrimmage
I would try to get Robert Covington too. This team needs a big shake up. Unfortunately I don't think Neil has the balls to do it though.
