Theres not a link to prove it or anything, but IF it is true then im very excited. As you might know, I really wanted Memphis to take Noah simply because I thought..and still somewhat think...Varejao isnt going to leave Cleveland. And Noah and Varejao are very similiar. If Memphis did get him, he would be perfect for Memphis. We arent a great rebouding team and we dont have a low post defender like Varejao. He defiently compliments Gasol very well and from what ive read he and Gasol are good friends so he can make Gasol happy. I would really like this move by Memphis... but Im not getting to excited cause I think theres a better chance of him staying in Cleveland.
Like the poster said below, Varejao is a restricted free agent. If they did agree to sign an offer sheet, Cleveland has I think 30 days to match it.
I don't know why .. but I keep invisioning Varejao as a Memphis Grizzly, it's just somthing about it, mabye this is a sign? Mabye it's not.., but besides that' id love to see him there, he could be that extra piece that could help Memphis win a whole lot more games next season, he'd play along side Pau, it would make quite a good front court.. of course Varejao has to improve his offense, that's somthing not to forget.
I agree his offense isnt very good, butin a up-tempo style with a true PG, he can get alotve easier shots. The thing that I love about him is his rebounding. Dude averaged almost 7rpg in 23 minutes. Im not much of a stat person anymore, but thats impressive and hes a affective rebounder(Cleveland being #1 offensive rebounding team...with the help of Gooden and Lebron too though). 7 mill in some peoples eyes is too much, but you gotta pay to get what you need...and hes basicly what we need now.
No...thats the problem with it. they're saying its from a radio broadcast from Cleveland...thats why im still not going to get to much into it.

I think it used to be 20, and they reduced it to 10 or somethin when they redid everything. I'm not sure on the exact number..but I am positive it's not close to 30.
<span style="font-family:Tahoma">If they offer him 8 million or whatever, Memphis can have him. Hopefully Ferry is smart enough to let him walk. I def. want him back, and hope to God that this is not a true rumor. I mean, I know they are talking with Andy but I didn't think they would offer him a contract. I just don't think Andy would do as good with Memphis as he did with Cleveland. </span>

He would do better in Memphis for sure than Cleveland. He would get alot more PT where he would produce alot more. And he would be in a uptempo style which hes shown he can excell in. Cleveland has Gooden and Big Z so they dont need him as much, resulting in smaller PT, as for Memphis we will love to have his D and rebounding out on the court for majority of the game. It never said 8mill, it said 7mill and comparing to what Darko wants(10mill) thats pretty good. Almost every free agent gets overpaid(which might be the reason salaries get higher and higher)...thats just how its always been.People say "no way so-and-so will let so-and-so walk", but reality is if that player wants to leave, hes going to leave. But I still think theres a good chance he stays in Cleveland, why would you leave a team that just made the Finals?
I just read through some of the thread in the Cavs Bball Section, and it came from a sport radio analyst who said his sources heard that was true...so take it for what it is.Those Cav fans are outve their minds though, they realisticly believe that we would give Miller up for him...which would be idiotic(seeing that we can probably get Darko and we already need more shooting, why trade our best shooter?)...

I'm sure really wants to stay, too. The only points the guy scores are ones from LeBron James passing and setting him up. He gets a lot of minutes in Cleveland, he just doesn't start. </span>
He averaged 23mpg last season..Yeah those are okay minutes but he could get more on another team. And like I said, he would get more shots in a fast-paced team beside a good passing big man like Gasol and playing with a true PG in Conley. And its not his offense why hes good, its his rebounding, defense and hustle that makes him so shiny to other teams. And if the rumor is true, he obviously likes Memphis cause he agreed to a contract...but thats just what it is...a rumor.

He doesn't play good defense, he plays OK defense. Well, thats if you count taking charges. He isn't a scoring type of guy, I don't even see him averaging many points at all, if any. I know they got Conley, but we got LeBron James. The rumor isn't true, because if he agreed to some kinda contract it would've been all over the Net by now.</span>

Like Ive said before, the Griz keep everything pretty secure and secret...its pretty easy when theres not many eyes at the Griz direction. I think he can get around 8-10ppg with enough minutes just from garbage plays. From what ive heard from majority Cav fans, they all agree hes a good low-post defender. But your right, right now it isnt confirmed by a reliable source so we just have to wait...maybe it will be reported by tomorrow night if its true.

Have you ever seen him play? I watch him 82 games a year plus the playoffs. He isn't an offensive player, 8-10 PPG? You nuts bro? Damon Jones doesn't even average that with the Cavaliers and hes a shooter. Anyway, I haven't heard anything but the same news.</span>
Does anyone else think that radio stations need to stop making up rumors? Thats the second straight day a radio station has made it up. First Rip to Seattle, now this.
