Thats huge news right there. You posted this right after I posted my stephon marbury video lol. But wow, thats going to be huge for orlando right there.

And 15 a year doesn't sound too bad for him.
$15 million a year isn't a bad deal for him? That's almost max-contract money right there for a player who definitely isn't worth that much. I can see why Orlando paid him that much though. They have all this money, and none of the big name free agents (outside of Lewis) had interest in signing there. It's a good fit, but I think they overpaid him.His agent did say that if Lewis doesn't land in situation where he can win now, he wants max-contract money... looks like he got his wish.
This was pretty expected, but great pickup for Orlando. I think $15 million a year is too much for him, but everybody knew he was gonna get overpaid. Orlando finally got their go-to scorer on the perimeter. Man, the East is really improving (on paper, anyway) this offseason.Darko, have fun getting overpaid by another franchise dumb enough to pay you anywhere near what you're asking (now that I say that, watch Danny Ainge be the man to do it).
This really helps Orlando alot. They finally get a actual scorer, which theyve lacked besdies Hill who is leaving probably. Good move for Orlando and Shard.
No way Darko gets anywhere near what he was asking now, he just lost a big chunk of change. I can't even see somebody offering him max mle money. He's better off takin a 1 year 3-4 million dollar year in a place which he can start if he think's he's that good of a player.
He isn't worth 15 million but I certainly don't think the magic could of got him any cheaper, this is a great move this is defently going to help the magic in the playoffs next season, if things work out..they could go quite deep into the playoffs. This will also probley further Dwight's development because it will open up a lot opportunitys for each other which will defently help that rugged offense of Orlando's.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKDam you Presti. You let him get away without getting anything back. Now what do we have? A few good rookies and Wally f*cking SZERBIACKkill me now.I was wondering if it is better to follow a player or a team- starting to think I should follow a player and move on with Ray - I wont though.

All of a sudden the Celtics, Magic, Knicks and Bobcats have improved so much that it wouldn't surprise me if at least 3 of them make the playoffs. These teams are THAT improved.Awesome signing for Magic. They had money to spend, and they spent it on a pretty young player with fantastic scoring ability to compliment Dwight Howard. This could be a fantastic duo 2-3 years from now.
Dwight may have found his sidekick. I've always liked Lewis, Howard and the team of Orlando. Good deal for them, something needed to be done. Kinda shocked though, I thought Seattle would get something in return with a Sign-N-Trade.
is this 100% I mean aside from that I cant find anymore about it. I dont think its a done deal yet - prob wishful thinking on my part!

$15 million a year is alot of money but Lewis will bring the scoring threat the Magic didn't have last season. They had a young, athletic team who played tough D but couldn't get offense consistently and that's the reason they posed absolutely no threat to the Pistons in the first round sweep. Lewis will now add another dimension to the Magic and they finally have their scorer which should put them in contention next season.Let me tell you something, this is a high price to pay but sometimes you have to overpay to get the player you want. With Lewis, you have one of the best 3 pt. shooters and one of the most versatile offense players in the league which should lead to him being the perfect fit in Orlando.
Oooh, my bad didn't see this thread earlier, delete the other one please. As I said in the other one, Howard and Rashard's game compliment each other. While Dwight has absolutely no range what-so-ever he's a great rebounder. This is the exact opposite case for Rashard Lewis and most of his points come from the perimiter which should help out the Magic greatly.
Orlando gonna have a good offense IMO. Jameer Nelson is developing into a pretty good point guard, and with Dwight and Rashard there, could do some good things in the East. Great signing for the Magic.
