Not all of his supporters are racists and it's wrong of you to say that. But I also think many racists feel that Trump gives them a voice in politics that they have long lacked and Trump does very little to dissuade them of that.
Substantial numbers, and a re-established court system which will enforce the continuation of these gains for decades. With individual freedoms and civil rights being restored at every level, and state and local sanctuary governments being exposed as the utterly complete failures they are, the tide has turned drastically against the deep state since their triple failure of Russian Hoax/Mueller Retort/Fake Impeachment exposed them to the world. Most people with a brain now realize Trump has benefited them personally, and has proven by his actions and his policies that he is none of the things Dems accused him of. He's the confident, trustworthy hero and Dems are the impotent, whining snake-oil salesmen. They will lose the House again, and be humiliated by Trump in November.

This is a big part of my point: he emboldens them, the racists. The other big part of my point, however, is how to process or interact with or accept the "normal" Americans ignoring all the racist parts of Trump's behavior. People in here ignore it. Direct quotes, inferences, whatever. And we are only talking about race thus far, not women, not climate, not international relations. I'm honestly searching for a way to find common ground with people who cover their eyes and plug their ears. It isn't easy. Not to be too clever, but we often accept people despite of their flaws--the good outweighs the bad, good soul, whatever the fuck--but with this man, he is the flaw.
The thought of you believing the things you write actually terrifies me. There's just no way you're not playing the Long Con Troll.
