What matters most is henry. Tannehill is one of the worst quarterbacks to ever play in the league. (Btw I'm trolling. I wanted the titans to win for the sheer reason that i like seeing teams that normally dont go far get far)
The Titans broke Marcus. He's a shadow of himself. They gave him a shit line and he was constantly sacked and injured because of it. Let's not pretend that he didn't have good seasons.
Eight times we were on their tuff at 36 yards or less. I am shocked. The two interceptions immediate TD by them a Tannehill TD and we could not convert 4th downs D looked ordinary too. I decided to relax and pretend it’s a Blazers karma reaching into my NFL team. Wtf. Feels awful
Oh stop. He sucks. Look how far the titans have gotten this year without him. Good for Tannahill to right their ship and being one win away from a super bowl appearance. I got a friend who lives in Nashville and they couldn’t be more happier
Nah Tenn did him dirty, constant switching of OC’s, constantly trying to over coach him. I dont think it was on purpose but they did a masterclass on killing a young QB’s career, I had questions about his NFL abilities anyways, but the way they handled him was awful.
With Mariota this year, they beat The Browns 43-13, lost to an ok Colts team 19-17 through two games he had 0 picks. They lost to the Jags 20-7 Mariota had 300+ years passing no interceptions again, and Henry did nothing he had 44 yards. Then they beat the Falcons he had 3 TD's no interceptions. So through 4 games 0 interceptions and the losses weren't really on him. Then they lost to buffalo again Hentry struggled, and they struggled 14-7 but MM had 0 int's. Buffalo's defense is legit by the way, they held many good offenses down. The one absolute stinker he put up was against Denver when he got benched, they lost 16-0 he had 2 int's. Tannehill came in and played ok, he also had an int though and the offense was only mildly better with him. Since then Tannehill's been good, no doubt the offense has gotten better, but it was not all on MM. Switching to Tannehill worked but it's not because MM "sucked", he literally had one really bad game this year. The coaching staff did not really want him, he wasn't there pick, and never ran offense suitable for his strengths which is quick passing and letting him run a bit. Tannehill fit their style, hand the ball off to Henry and Play actions to deeper slants. Edit: MM's main issue has been fumbling and he was still bad that this year. I'm not ignoring that, but Tannehill hasn't been good at that either. I believe he has 8 fumbles on the year.
I think much like Tannehill MM will get another shot with another team that maybe has a system that fits him better? It also wouldn't surprise me to see him retire from the game as Im sure he's misses Aloha!
I don't know who you are, but this post seems to lack understanding of what I actually said, so I'm going to ignore it.
As much as I hate to I'm gonna disagree. . strongly... True, the inconsistencies didn't do MM any favors, i get that..but dam...what was consistant was his weak arm and poor decisions..constantly. He never looked comfortable. Hell, his greatest moment was catching his batted back pass for a TD against KC in a playoff game.
Mariota may get his chance to prove his doubters wrong. However, the Titans as a team won more games with Tannehill as the starter this season. He had to read what the defenses gave them before the snap, whether to run or pass depending upon the coverage. That helps as much for the running game as it does for passing. Derrick Henry played ok for the first 3 or so games with Tannehill taking over. They were able to win 7 out of 10 games to finish the regular season. A huge part of that is the collaborative effort of Tannehill, Henry, and the offense. Henry has been literally unstoppable the last 8 games. That is a credit to everyone making it possible for him to do so. I think the Titans will run their way into the Superbowl with a likely matchup against the Texans in the AFC Championship game.
