Petrie said he has contacted the representatives for the "top four or five" free agents on the market regarding the possibility of a sign-and-trade but did not specify names. Among the big names available are Seattle small forward Rashard Lewis, Detroit point guard Chauncey Billups, and Charlotte forward and former King Gerald Wallace. ... "We're not in that game (for the big-name players) unless those situations ... are going to turn into sign-and-trade-type situations," Petrie said. "That doesn't usually happen for a while, and whether we could be involved in them is an open question at this point, too."</blockquote></div>
Well, I posted it in the Pistons forum.I couldn't care less about the Kings. This is for Pistons fans to discuss it.
I have a dream that one day All fans will be allowed to post in the same forum. I was just trying to create activity in the otherwise dead, king forum. I wouldn't welcome Ron Artest, despite the fact that winning has a skill at whiping the slate clean of old grudges. It'd be weird to see Ben Wallace booed and Ron Artest cheered.
Artest as a Stone would be nuts. Not to mention he wouldnt have a job over Rip and Tay. This is just a no go.
I don't want Bibby. He is vastly overrated, and he doesn't have the clutchness or decision making that Mr. Big Shot has.Artest is good, but I don't want him here either, although his defense is exactly what the Pistons love.
