--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Gaston GazzetteAn NBA source Sunday said Charlotte Bobcats swingman Gerald Wallace's agent was contacted by representatives from the Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, and Portland Trailblazers in addition to Charlotte. The source said Wallace was "nowhere near" making a commitment to any team at this point.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Yet again, I really don't understand why Memphis wants to use their cap on another wing man while we still have a bigger hole in the front court, unless we are going to trade Mike Miller, which I don't think would be smart for us to do. But, Wallace is a very talented all-around player to have on a team, and I wouldn't mind signing him, but I would really like a front-court defender more.

Chris Wallace has already said Rudy will be playing the Phoenix-4 often, and G Wallace is capable of playing that as well. I'd defiently rather have Gerald Wallace than Nocioni, but like you said it still doesn't solve our front-court defense. I dont think Miller is going to be traded now, lets say if we did trade Miller and signed G Wallace...we would be a horrible 3-point shooting team...with our best shooters in the rotation being Rudy and D-Stoud. I wouldnt mind signing G Wallace and playing him or Rudy at the 4 like Phoenix does with Marion...but we wouldnt have hardly any low-post defense, unless Rudy improves a ton and can become a Prince-Bowen-Battier type of defender...
The bucks need a guy like wallace. Hes a solid sf which is a good pick up for defence of needs and can make the crowd go wile with his dunks. He needs to work on his shooting though.
I know Mavs want him. And Mavs have the MLE for him. But with the big of a list it just depends on where Gerald wants to go. I would love for Mavs to bring him. It seems like it might take awhile for him to make his choice
gerald wallace would fit quite nicely for the blazers, but I dunno how much the blazers will be willing to pay for him
Too bad New Orleans isn't on that list, but oh well. Wallace would be an upgrade over Desmond Mason even if he can't hit too many shots, but his lock-down defense is just too good to pass up. I would say from that list, the Heat would be most suitable for him, unless they want to install Dorell Wright at SF.
