Flu just don't leave you over night you could see he was tired one reason his shots was coming up short or the air balls. But gave him credit with his D late in the game and ran that fast break hard at the end.

Once he gets settled in and more confident he will be, a very good player. Even now he lets the game come to him and Ive been impressed with his ability to assist. Smart player.

Yeah I think you could see it in his face. He looked old and drained, LOL

Good for him for toughing it out.

Its funny, first the issue was Stotts never playing him. Now he runs him into the ground while he’s probably still less than 100%. I know they were short on guys, but Little only got 15 minutes.

I have to say, I couldn't believe it when Stotts substituted in Hezonja at the end instead of Little or Hoard. :dunno:

Little and Hoard are rookies, what do you mean you couldn’t believe it?? Is there anything Stotts hates more than a rookie?

Let's say it was a cold bucket of water in the face when I saw him enter the game.

Rationale: Hezonja went in for his ball handling, since he was replacing Simons.

Reality: Little and Hoard are rookies.

Well, that's one way to bankrupt the Nets.

Gotta say - Hezonja played perfect defense on their game-tying 3-attempt. That was as well as you can cover a shooter without fouling.

I'll give you that. Good thing too after the one before where he just stood there with his hands at his knees.

Gotta lower those expectations! One good play out of five is a win at this point!

On the Last posession in regulation, when Russell shot a long 3, Trent lost Burks who almost hit the game winner. Trent was extremely lucky Burks missed.

At 06:10 you can see it, that was poor poor defense

The way Trent and Ant are playing, Trent needs to be the first guard off the bench. He is playing with confidence and under control.

Each game reinforces the Wes Matthews comparison. Very similar skill sets: Hawking defense, hit open shots, and create midrange jumpers for himself.

Trent is quieting some of the "way too soon" criticism he received in his first year and a half. (When he was 19 and 20)
He is a 2nd round pick that will most definitely stick in the NBA. I agree on the Wes Mathews comparisons. Especially their work ethic.

Patty Mills or Wes are good comparisons, I think.

Since the calendar hit 2020, Trent is averaging 10 ppg while shooting 46% from the field, and 44% from deep. But honestly the shooting isn’t a surprise. He could always shoot. The shitty percentages he put up in garbage time were never a good barometer. The most impressive thing has been his defense, and how consistent it’s been. It’s there pretty much every night.

Trent has definitely taken that next step and is becoming a solid performer off the bench while playing some good defense. If he can stay consistent and Simons can have more games like last night it will help the team move up.
