So Hill is gone. Of the possible FA SF/Swingmen avail, who do you want? For me in order- Peterson Stackhouse Pietrus Barnes Posey
I was going to make this exact topic, but I just posted it in another thread. I'll just paste what I wrote in there. I don't know what thread to put this in, and I didn't want to make another topic, so I'll put it here. With Hill being signed by Phoenix, MoPete is probably our next option. But will we have to use the full MLE on him? The Knicks are rumored to offer him the full MLE. There are also some other teams interested with their full MLE available. They probably have more playing time as well. If we need to do that in order to sign him, I say let him go somewhere else. After him, who are our options? Devin Brown? Desmond Mason?
Well, the crop keeps getting thinner as Stackhouse resigned with Dallas. Here's an article with some info on the available small forwards.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Former Michigan State swingman Morris Peterson could be one option, although he has drawn interest from Utah as well.Other small forward names on the free-agent list include Bulls restricted free agent Andres Nocioni, Dallas swingman Jerry Stackhouse, Miami?s James Posey and Golden State?s Matt Barnes and Mickael Pietrus.Who is a realistic option? Right now, I?m not sure.Stackhouse is expected to re-sign with the Mavs, and a contingent from the Memphis Grizzlies had flown south to Argentina to woo Nocioni. The Grizzlies have cap room to play with, meaning they can offer more than the mid-level.BTW, should we merge this thread and the offseason after the draft one?The Warriors want one of their two free agents back. Barnes is unrestricted. Pietrus is restricted, and four teams had already offered their full mid-level, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.Posey had received attention from six teams, none of them Detroit, according to the Miami Herald. The Heat has already lost one free agent in Jason Kapono, and they?ll try hard to at least get a sign-and-trade situation if it can?t keep Posey.</div>http://freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID...5/70705031/1183I'm a little confused by the bolded part. Those four teams offered Pietrus their full MLE, or Barnes? I'm pretty sure it's Pietrus, but just making sure. Golden State will most likely resign one of them, leaving the other for one of the four teams willing to offer their full MLE. So that rules them out. It also says we haven't been in the hunt for Posey. Joe could have just be focused on Hill, Chauncey, and Amir. Now that Hill was signed by the Suns, Joe should at least show some interest. And as I said before, some team will probably offer MoPete the full MLE as well. Who does that leave for us after that?BTW, should we merge this thread and the offseason after the draft one?
It has to be Morris Peterson. Toronto doesn't want him any more (Jason Kapono), and he's be an excellent fit in Motown.

The Pistons are cheap son ofa bitches and are going to try and sign somebody cheap like they did with Flip Murray last year(great idea huh?).This team is done..Davidson and Dumars are droppin the ball. I kind of wish we didn't re-sign Billups now...what's the point?
