Oh, I know. Hassan is going to stay and we will have messed up any chance to win a title in Dame's prime.
Tough to get Oubre due to the size of his contract. Ariza and parts would do it but you can't combine Ariza with anyone.
Turner was gone. he's not part of your imaginary equation Harkless and Meyers might be here. As far as trades, that would be better because then because we'd be dealing with smaller hypothetical salary exchanges, and that might make it possible to make a trade for salary next year and still remain under the tax....and I believe Olshey likely has instructions out of Seattle to stay under the tax line next season in other words, Whiteside's contract is too big to think about matching in a trade, one for one, and avoiding tax next season. I've said to Hoops two or three times if he can come up with a trade that brings back a smaller salary next season, like a Delon Wright + an expiring, that makes sense to me. Batum or Love or Aldridge don't make any sense to me no matter how many different ways you guys try to polish those turds
It would have to be Hassan, and we'd have to take back some money. I would love Baynes + Oubre + minimum filler for Hassan + picks. Ariza burned bridges while in PHX I believe.
I think Knox has a ton of talent, I personally think he’s Kuzma level just in a horrible organization.
I literally said the same thing in my post you decided to nit pick while missing the big picture. You asked the point of kicking the can down the road, and a few of us have pointed out. Sorry you still don't understand the merits of it.
According to the ESPN Trade machine, is doesn't quite fit. Off but just ~$200,000. Since Ariza can't be combined with anyone else, it makes him tougher to acquire.
Love it for us, think LA would want that too, even with the tax implications. Not sure what PHX's motivation is though. Baffled by this news. This is a guy putting up 19/6 on decent efficiency who we know can defend a bit. And his contract is decent for his production. Don't see why they would even want to move Oubre.
for fuck's sake...just because you have an opinion on merits, doesn't mean your opinion is gospel, and I'm so fucking stupid I can't grok what's going on as far as ignoring what somebody posted, did you pay attention to what what I posted? it was specifically about a Whiteside for Batum trade. That's why I entered this particular discussion
Wow! I'd love that deal. I think PHX might want a draft pick with it but I think it works great for us and the Clips.
Id do either one. I like that trade because the clippers would probably have to add a pick. Can just re route it to Phoenix.
