Just doesn't make sense at all to me? I just did not see them dumping Skal at this point? Even more so for the limited amount of money saved? Were they just looking for a roster spot? Or will they go back further into the tax to fill that spot again? It's an absolute mystery to me what is going on at this point?
Good point. IIRC the TPE also counts against team salary, so if they had kept Skal they would have been paying tax on both.
Trey Burke Kyle O’Quinn Tim Frazier Tristan Thompson Derrek Rose Copy/paste and add as other names come up.
Yes it would. Rose was near All Star this year. Then we can sign his buddy Joakim. Olshey isn’t done. We learned that last year.
I love Waiters but he is a mess. Lillard could whip him into shape but Trent has worked very hard for those minutes that Waiters would take.
there's no tax applied to a TPE until it's converted to a player. It counts against the cap though until it's renounced
According to David Aldridge, you can cross Tristan Thompson off of your list: "League source says there will be no buyout for Tristan Thompson in Cleveland, and that he will play out the season with the Cavs before hitting free agency this summer."
They probably ask Atlanta if they would take Mario they hung up on Olshey. Olshey call back and then offer Swanigan they hung up the phone. Olshey how about Skals Atlanta say yes if you give cash and Olshey said yes but you 2nd pick Atlanta say yes but will be protected Olshey agree.
we only need a temporary big, so maybe a couple 10 days? Burke seems like the ideal, most realistic, guy though.
Players like Rose and Thompson will go to to contenders or 2nd tier teams like Miami\Boston\Philly. Why would they come to a tanking\sinking team? it's fucking depressing.
