If I had to call it now I’d say hoard gets a standard contract for next year while brown maybe gets another two way.
Maybe trading Skal was done so that hoard could be converted into a traditional when his 45 day portion of the two way expires?
Hey @Scalma or anyone else, do you know of a site that lists how many of the 45 days a 2-way player has used up this year?
Moses needs at least another year in the g league. Not sure Portland will give him another two way, but he’s so raw. Should’ve stayed in school. Hoard on the other hand is good enough to be on an nba roster.
Fuck it, ill watch tonight’s game. Haven’t watched one in awhile. I’ll post anything noteworthy beyond the box score.
For many years I've enjoyed the G-League more than the NBA, because the players aren't cemented in their roles. They play like anything is possible. But this year, it's different. Historical records are being set. Our two players haven't missed a shot all season. Keep those videos coming. This is my favorite thread.
Moses’ numbers are efficient and he produces in limited minutes, but watching him play, you can see how he would struggle in the NBA. His play strength isn’t where it needs to be and he would really struggle to box out at the next level imo. And his toolbox doesn’t include much besides rebounds, some rim protection, and lobs. I’m not sure another year in the g league is the route either. He probably needs to head to Europe and play against bigger dudes. Either way, I’d be surprised if he were on Portland’s active roster next season.
Probably irrational because they play different positions, but I've had the thought that Gabriel's upside spells doom for Moses - in terms of the last roster spot (next year).
not reallyyy, unless you’re one of those dum dums that think plus/minus matters, especially isolated.
