So what you're saying is Bernie is more likely to spread 'fake-news' than I am! I kid, I kid. I don't even really use face-book, I have an account but I log in like once every few years, that's how interesting I find it. Do people our age even use FB though, seems like most of my friends and co-workers the last few years use IG and Twitter (of which I don't have an account on either of those).
Interesting the only person around my age I know of (in person) who uses FB that I can think of is my wife. I assumed FB was doing things to keep up. I didn't know they even had a marketplace though lol.
I read an article, not many years ago, that showed that older people are more likely to get their news from corporate owned media sources. If you have ever read the book "Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media" by Edward S. Herman and Noam Chomsky, or watched a video on it like I did, you understand not to believe corporate media. Edit: Here is a video, in case anyone else wants to check it out.

I use facebook only to keep in touch with family members. I never post unless its some vacation photos or something family related. I would prefer to argue with people anonymously. I knew facebook was over the hill when I used a swear word in a post while I was drunk and got a warning from my Dad to keep things more appropriate. Most of my older family and older friends are the only ones who post regularly and its a shit show of misinformation, click bait and like farming. Its like watching a slow train wreck over and over again, when all they have to do is google their stories before they share. I can see the appeal of a market place on there, but never used it, I mostly sell stuff on the neighborhood social media app which has worked pretty well for me. Kids today dont even bother with facebook its all snapchat, tik tok, IG, tubler and whatever else that I cant be bothered trying to keep up with.
Of course there is...that's the problem because there's a lot of weak minded individuals out there who cannot think for themselves. And sadly they let FB and other social media easily sway them and their numbers can be strong enough to seriously influence elections...see 2016 & 2020.
Well, if Bernie was to win then according to trump, I buy and sell a lot of laptops and use to pretty much used craigslist and then ebay for the higher end stuff, but have had more success using offer up the last year or so.
Yeah, I've been buying/selling on ebay for 20 years now...they're getting harder to deal and almost always side with the buyer in any sort of dispute but they're still better than CL and some others.
Yeah, I got screwed over by ebay once when a guy claimed that a laptop I sent him was bent, and the casing was all plastic and plastic laptops don't bend, they break. . He filed a complaint and requested pictures from the buyer several times to no avail. One day he escalated it to ebay for them to make a decision and without ever contacting me and hearing my side they sided with him in less than 5 minutes of his escalating it. He shipped the item back and the OS was corrupt with a virus and i reformatted and loaded the OS back on and sold it locally for more money. They didn't even refund my fees cause I disputed the claim. Left a very sour taste with me and didn't sell on ebay for awhile as I read many similar complaints from sellers. I soon learned that when disputes come up be very proactive and make sure they have your side of the story. I haven't lost a case since and have won about a half dozen. I think there are buyers that know the situation and abuse the policy and lie to get their money back.
Cheap broken ones. Mostly just stock ones and usually no older than around 2010/ 11 and newer. New ones have become so cheap so i try not to pay a lot depending on specs and what is wrong with them
