Apparently from what I've read from the news, the crowds have been very dissapointing. If you don't know, Live Earth is this hippy-festival created by Al Gore and some of his buddies to get the word out on global warming...(I don't understand how having a few bands sing promotes education of global warming, seems to me it's just Al Gore getting in the news more than anything). Live Earth has more to do with self promoting (Gore and the bands) than global warming in my opinion.

Yes, what a pointless thing to do bringing millions together to raise awareness. I hate him. It's better than sitting on your butt and ignoring it complaining about people who are spreading the word. You may be right, but I would not mind him trying to get some more publicity before he decides to run. I want to see him in the oval office by 2009.
I agree that it is pointless and hypocritical, but there are a few good bands on the list that I just looked at.
I think people are finally waking up to the fact that celebrities are idiots and will join any cause for any reason. If you want to combat global warming buy a f*cking huffy and stop bitching.

Oh and I don't know what you mean about the crowds. The stadiums are packed. There are some very hot chicks there too.
The crowds worldwide have been great internationally, in Jersey they have been bad though. IMO it was about the earth though, because all the bands played for free...

Also, I agree with redneck, they interveiwed some band and they had no clue what they were talking about. They were all like 'we have got to save the environment, I don't know too much about it, but I am glad we are fighting to save the world'. I would much rather trust an expert rather than some musician who is an idiot.RHCP had a nice performance, along with Jack Johnson. I just wish Kanye West did more of All Falls Down.
