As long as their Forbes valuation keeps on climbing, ain't no way Dolan is selling. How do you manage to fuck up that franchise that badly? In that market, with that kinda fanbase, it's truly pathetic. But they're still raking in the cash year after year, so clearly the actual basketball doesn't matter.
I actually get why the Knicks would rather he not enter through the employee entrance, but how about just saying "from now on, enter here" instead of "please leave and go through this door", etc. Either way, that is a train wreck of a franchise.
First off MSG is a dump. Second, it's just absolute chaos. The entrance he was trying to get into is nowhere near the VIP entrance. Sounds like he got dropped off on the wrong side of the arena and didn't want to walk all the way around. It's bananas 24/7.....people everywhere. See attached BLURRY picture.
Lee says he's been using the same entrance for 28 years. Suddenly last night it changed after he was let in that entrance.
He's basically an employee. The Knicks have been happy to play up the association. Technically, I guess he should be using the VIP entrance, but it's so very Knicks-ian to randomly make a fuss about it three decades on.
I can't believe they wouldn't let Spike Lee enter through the "Patrons With Disabilities" entrance. That's a lawsuit right there.
He is going to produce a movie about his unfair position in the Garden. Since he doesn't make money for them, like Billy Joel does, he will include that factor too.
I go through the VIP entrance when I go to Knicks games and it’s really nice. You are escorted to a nice club with free bar service and buffet. You are then escorted to your seats in the same area Spike sits. The entrance is on 31st between 7th & 8th. It is not difficult to get there. NYC is very easy to get around. I’m not sure why he’d want to use the employee entrance. And MSG is not a dump.
