I hate that people call Warren, Pocahontas. Everytime I see it, it bothers me way more then it should... Something about it just seems so racist and demeaning.
I dont know... It could just say more about me then them. Just that one in particular really, really bothers me. Like, I understand the story behind it and the blood test and all that, but it just doesnt sit well with me. I think if it was a guy who did that and said he was Indian, no one would call him Ghandi... It seems like its a dig on Her and on pocahontas and I think something about it seems wrong IMO.
Explain to me why we have a year of buildup to the first few primaries only to have people just give away their votes. I overestimated America's desire for true political change. Disappointed.
She wanted to come in third in her own state! Duh. Honestly it proved to me she doesn't really care about the progressive movement.
In 2008 John McCain was dead in the water. He did poorly in the first contests and was just about out of money. Then it suddenly turned around and he coasted to the nomination. Seems similar thing happening with Biden. Difference McCain faced an exciting popular Barack Obama while the Democratic nominee will face decrepit unpopular incompetent Trump.
I can't wait for 8 more months of Hunter Biden talk. ugh. Establishment politics are ruining this party.
I don’t like it either. I’m curious though, does it bother you more than the other disparaging names that Trump has given his other opponents over time? Cheatin’ Ted, Sleepy Joe Biden, Mini Mike Bloomberg, Alfred E. Neuman Buttigieg, Crooked Hillary, Low Energy Jeb, and on and on.
Yes, Im not sure why other than I think it seems very racist, or at least not very sensitive to race. I hate how much people demean others and insult them in general, hate myself when I catch myself doing it too. However something about this one feels worse to me. Maybe I’ll think about it and try to articulate it better.
imo, Pete and Amy teaming up with Biden isn't near as risky as EW teaming up with Sanders. She really blew this opportunity by hanging onto Bernards coat tails and not trying to appeal to real democrats.
