CNN says they've confirmed that the SuperPac which spent millions pre super-Tuesday on ads. Will not spend a dime on EW for the next contests. Pretty easy to read between the lines there. What does Biden offer than Hillary didn't? Hillary tried to align herself as closely as she possibly could to Obama. How'd that work for her? How is the same strategy going to work for Biden? Terry Stotts became a better coach after he got completely shit on by Alvin Gentry. Simply because he didn't try to repeat the same shit over and over again. Lillard became a better player after that series as he started to watch more film. The DNC has learned nothing. Moderates have learned nothing. Obama was a once in a lifetime candidate who could unite the democratic party. Hillary and possibly now Biden won't accomplish what Obama did. Would Sanders? Who knows. But it's something different and not repeating the same mistakes made in 2016 with Clinton.

Many young voters sat out Super Tuesday, contributing to Bernie Sanders' losses . They turn out in throngs at his rallies. And they form the core of his grassroots efforts to win the Democratic presidential nomination. But their fiery passion did not translate into the robust turnout he needed on Super Tuesday to win a number of key states, notably in the South where a strong showing by former Vice President Joe Biden has made the nomination contest a two-man race. Exit polls for five southern states that Biden won – Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia – found that young voters did not show up at the polls in the numbers they did in 2016. In addition, the Vermont senator has been grabbing a smaller share of them in most cases. In Alabama, only 7% of the voters were in the 17-29 range compared to 14% in 2016. Sanders won six of every 10 of those voters Tuesday compared to four of 10 in 2016. In North Carolina, 13% of Tuesday’s electorate were young voters, compared to 16% four years ago. Of those, 57% went for Sanders in 2020 compared to 69% in 2016. In South Carolina, young voters made up 11% of the electorate Tuesday compared to 15% in 2016. Sanders won 43% of those voters Tuesday compared to 54% four years ago. Warren is trying to raise certain ideas and push a platform. Had Klobuchar or Buttigieg shown they could hold their supporters and win black and LatinX voters the "establishment" would have backed them. They couldn't. Sanders' support is deep but not wide. People who like him really love him but it's still a narrow slice of electorate. To his credit he has expanded support among young LatinX voters but has won with plurality in crowded field. Biden voters are the ones who reliably turn out. Sanders voters frequently don't.
Minority votes, I would guess. There was about 8% downturn in minority votes between 2012 and 2016 - where minority votes have won Biden the south. So, if he continues to appeal to minority voters going forward, that's how it is different.

Lots of talk about EW dropping out to unite progressives, well I suggest Bernard drop out to unite the Democratic Party that Joe Biden is part of and really the one with the best chance at the Presidency. It has come down to Bernards democratic socialism push versus a Democrat that represents a wider segment of the population and balance. Drop out Bernard!
No thanks. Biden represents corporations, billionaires, and the stranglehold they have on the Democratic establishment and American politics as a whole. He certainly doesn't represent me or most Sanders supporters.
If it comes down to Biden and Trump, I will be never Biden never Trump. I won't ever willing vote for corruption.
I've already resolved to vote minor party regardless. Fortunately, I know that the Oregon electoral votes are already predetermined, so I never have to worry about "throwing away my vote" since I already know it's worthless.
