That's the problem with politics in the country right now, everything is binary. My way or no way. Your team vs. my team. The world is not binary.

Are we sure about this? Trump is going to lie his ass off during every debate and talk circles around Joe. While most of us can see through the deception, a lot of people will not. And as we are seeing in this thread, I'm afraid of voter apathy and complacency because of his moderate stance. For all the talk about Bernie's age, Joe actually very much looks/talks/acts like he's 77, while Bernie doesn't.

I was about to suggest you look up the definition for "can" but then I'd definitely be a dick :)

I think it's a legit question. Honestly would have preferred Pete to Joe only because he wouldn't get rattled.

noknobs "Biden represents common sense, someone able to compromise (and NO, that's not a bad word in politics), moderates (who are most of the country BTW), people who would rather have a country come together instead of another four years with a president who's so far on one side of the spectrum that he alienates the vast majority of the population, and lastly and certainly not least, he represents someone who can actually beat Trump".

Reasonable thinking, I think since he's a bit old school in a reaching across the isle way, it makes total since now at this point in time.

So who will Biden pick as VP? Klobuchar has to be leader in the clubhouse, right?

That's my thinking too. She's younger, smart, funny, sharp, female, midwest.

Do you think if Biden was able to rope Warren in as VP it would make Progressive's more likely to show up?

It’s either gonna be her or Kamala Harris.

Bernie is probably looking at Tulsi, or one of the squad+Stacey Abrams.

I would encourage you to learn not to jump up people's butts for no apparent reason. I did nothing to you at all. If you got a problem with my post, tear it apart if you are able to, don't try to tear me down at all because you don't like what I have to say... period.

    Tulsi is a Republican, essentially.

The reason those other candidates withdrew and supported Biden was that Biden was winning African American voters and they were not.
Klobuchar might want the VP but I am convinced Dems won't run an all white ticket. Kamala Harris, Stacy Abrams, Julian Castro, Val Deming maybe.

There was an apparent reason, that much is obvious. I was replying to what you wrote. And you wrote your location, not me.. period.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I think that ascribing a literal "evil" to a fairly normal person like Joe Biden completely waters down the word to the point of uselessness. Usually when people talk of the "lesser of two evils" they don't mean evil literally, they mean the better of two sub-optimal choices.

Acting like "evil" is a single concept that links a mass murderer, Joe Biden, a rude delivery person and anyone else who has any flaws at all is really weird. Biden isn't evil, he's just a more centrist politician who tilts less towards socialism than Sanders.

I almost feel sorry for @MARIS61 when the moronic one is trounced like roadkill. The Republicans of this era, who empowered this Russian dupe, this pathological liar, this vile, unconstitutional, law breaking, enemy of the people. Today's GOP will be a laughing stock in history.
